Black moon pack was quiet, the wolves had gathered at the ceremonial hall as they held an emergency meeting, Taylor was standing infront of his pack about to give a speech. The alpha king and queen were present to offer their support.

"For the past few months i had been gone, I've been watching this pack with the goddess and i was happy to see the progress you guys made. What made me even more happy was for the bond you guys formed with each other, we're a family and we've lost one of our own...." he pauses giving himself time to calm down.

"And to see the bond you formed be broken by someone we once called a brother and friend really hurts me, i want us to remember our fallen brothers and sisters, and I want us to avenge them, i will not sit back and watch some clown try to destroy our hard work. Black moon pack, it's time we prove that we're a force to be reckoned with" he finishes earning a loud applause from the pack.

"Your mate came back sassy" The alpha king says earning a laugh from Max.

"He trained with the goddess, i bet he's packing some serious heat too" he says, The king nods and smiles.

"But I'm happy for you, nonetheless" he says. Max smiles and nods.

"Thanks dad....i appreciate it...and thank you for the new recruits" he says.

"No big deal, just call when you need something" he says patting his son on the shoulder. Max nods gratefully.

The car parked infront of the pack house, they gasped as they say the mansion in the process of rebuilding. Bill and Elton walked up to a guy fixing the windows.

"Excuse me sir...what happened here?" Bill asks, the man sighs sadly. He places his tools in his toolbox and walked up to them.

"There was a shooting here 2 days back...the alphas are really mad about it so..." he trails off. Elton felt guilty hearing this, if he'd been observant of his mate, none of this would've happened.

"Did....were there any casualties?" Elton asks, the man nods sadly.

"The triplets died during the shooting....and an alpha wolf named Luka? Lucas? I forgot his name but he also passed....its a shame" he says.

Bill's heart starts racing as the thought of Luke being dead ran through his mind, Elton hugged him from the side.

"I'm so sorry" he says. Bill shakes his head.

"I'm sure Luke's fine, I bet he's in bed eating grapes as usual" he says. Elton felt sad for his friend, Bill was in total denial and he doesn't know how to help him.

"Let's get inside" he says

Taylor was in his room changing clothes when he smelled something, a scent he's very familiar with, a scent he's learned to hate. Autumn takes over his body and goes downstairs.

Bill, Elton and Max were talking in the dining room, Max had just told Bill what happened and Bill was devastated.

"We were working on our relationship...i didn't even get the chance to tell him i still loved him" he says. The elevator doors opened revealing Taylor. Elton gasped seeing the royal wolf.

"Is that.." Bill turns around and freezes seeing Taylor charging towards him, he got up and ran to the backyard using the kitchen door.

"Where do you think you're going?" Taylor growled out pulling Bill by his collar back to the kitchen.

"Taylor what are you doing,?" Max asked in disbelief. Bill was thrown back on the stool, Taylor sat across the counter.

"Why did you help those omegas escape?" He asks, all the attention goes to Bill who just smirked.

"If I knew you were still alive i would've made them kill you instead of......" he trails off at the end, Taylor decides to add salt to his wounds.

"Of whom, Your mate? Or was it exmate" he says, Bill bangs the counter with the palm of his hands.

"We were working on our relationship" he says, Taylor nods.

"Then why aren't you in pain right now? An omega usually feels something when their mate dies unless....." he says looking at Bill straight in the eyes.

"The mate bond was completely broken" Max finishes. Bill sat back down, all this time he's been telling himself that he and Luke will still have a chance only to find out he'd been completely rejected and his own wolf didn't tell him.

"I....I.."

"You what? You helped the pack enemy into killing members of my pack, you killed your own mate and you sit here trying to justify yourself?" Taylor says standing up, Max held his shoulder.

"I think we should all calm down"

"Oh really? Let me ask Bill one more question then" he says, Bill nods nervously.

"Why did you team up with Mike to kill me?"

The question made everyone freeze in disbelief, Toby and Rita who were walking into the kitchen also froze hearing the question. Bill twiddles with his fingers.

Smack.

"Answer the alpha when he's talking to you"

The group gasped in shock after Elton just slapped his friend, Bill touches his cheek, eyes glistening, he gulped and decides to answer.

"When i first met Luke, he was always talking about you, how he feels bad for putting you all through what you went through and he'll always say, if he didn't reject you none of this would've happened....i was jealous and angry, the first time he marked me he called out your name..it went on and on until Mike one day offered me something..."

"Which is...??"

FLASHBACK

Bill was in his room watching TV when a knock interrupted him, he sighed and went to see who it was.

"Oh hey Mike" he says smiling. Mike smiles back.

"Hey, can we talk?" The beta asks, Bill nods and lets him in, they sat on the bed.

"How may i help you?" He asks, Mike smirks.

"You feel jealous that your mate likes his ex more than you" he says making the omega to freeze, Bill shook his head.

"I don't know what you're talking about" he says making Mike to laugh.

"You know exactly  what I'm talking about...infact your mate marked you and called out Taylor's name, didn't he" he teases, Bill was getting angry now.

"What do you want?" He asks, Mike boops his nose.

"Good question, i want us to team up and kill Taylor" he says. Bill looks at him with wide eyes.

"Are you crazy, Taylor is a royal wolf, he'd kill us with one eye opened" he says. Mike smirks.

"Not if we use black magic"
