He sat on his throne reading his pack's paperwork, his new second in command Tony was standing on his right side silently. Ever since he killed Andrew, Mike has become more cautious about the people around him and that's how he met Tony.
The two met when Mike had just took over Serene pack and Tony vowed an alliance between him and Mike inorder for the serene pack to be left alone as it is, Tony had even made the betas of that pack the slaves and the omegas were turned over to Mike to do as he pleased with them.
"Sir, are you okay?" Tony asks, Mike nods and closes the file he was reading, his temples started to throb making Tony really worried.
"Sir, do you nee-"
"No I'm fine, just a headache" he says. Tony remains silent but the visuals of Mike's throbbing temples had scared him. Mike stands up and walks to the window.
"Tell the omegas to go now, I've become impatient" he says. Tony nods.
"The sooner the better but in this situation..." he trails off, Mike turns around eyes glowing red.
"Are you saying my plan will not work?" He growls deeply. Tony shakes his head frantically.
"No that's not what i meant, what i mean is....if Max notices that this is a trap, he might....kill them" he says. Mike chuckles and turns back around, he closed his eyes and says something that takes Tony by shock.
"Then let them die"

"Toby, Nate, hurry up" Taylor yells. Two sets of feet stomp down the stairs as Toby and Nate hurry to the car. Taylor sighs and grabs the keys.
"Let me come with" Rita says walking up to him. He smiles and nods.
"I appreciate it"
They walk to the car and the two boys get in first.
"For people who hate school they sure like to be on time" Rita says making Taylor laugh.
"That's because i promised them their favorite food for dinner" he says.
"Ah...why didn't i think of that" she says getting in the car. Taylor gets in and they drive off.
"Remember, be very attentive, Mike can send his spies anywhere, anytime so you need to be on full alert...Toby, use your wolf senses if you have to" he says looking at Toby through the rear view mirror. Toby nods.
In a matter of minutes they arrived at the school and Nate and Toby ran off.
"I've never seen Toby smile so much, i can tell you're special to him" Rita says. Taylor nods and smiles remembering the first time he saw the omega.
"You can say that....he went through so much when he was at his previous pack, i gave him something he never knew in his life....love" he says, Rita smiles.
"I know you don't know me that well but....i think we can be friends" she says. Taylor chuckles and nods.
"I'd like that...friend" He drives off to the pack house.
"What is that?" Rita says gazing at the forest. Taylor slows down and goes off the road, he pulls over and gets out. He takes a deep breath and gasps.
"Rogues" he whispered, he ran back to the car and got back on the road speeding away.
"What? What happened?" She asks, he shakes his head going faster, Rita becomes nervous seeing Taylor like that.
The maybach stops infront of the pack house, Taylor looks at Rita.
"Go call Dan and Benjamin, I'll be inside" he says. Rita dashes out to find the betas while Taylor ran to his room.

Max was putting on some clothes when the bedroom door was suddenly opened by his mate, he turned around smiling only for the smile to fade away seeing the look on his mate.
"What happened?" He asks.
"Rogues...i think....they smelled like rogues but..." he shakes his head, the scent was truly confusing, it was of burned wolf's skin, common for rogues but they had a hint of ash and it was unnatural.
"Calm down, babe...talk to me" Max says making Taylor sit on the bed. Taylor sighs and calms down.
"Okay...so on our way here, Rita saw something in the woods, so i went to investigate, it smelled like rogues but their scent had something off about them" he says.
"That bastard sent the omegas a week early" he says, he stands up and starts to pace. He looks at his mate.
"What should we do?" He asks. Taylor sighs.
"I suggest we keep them in the dungeons, since Mike built them, let his pack members slumber in it, courtesy of their alpha" he says. Max smirks.
"True, good idea babe" he leans in for a kiss.
Knock.knock
He sighs.
"Come in"
The two betas accompanied by Rita enter, Dan hands Max a paper.
"It's a letter they sent to the guards, they require a place to stay in...i think they're from Mike's pack" he says.
"What makes you say that?" Max asks handing the paper to Taylor.
"One of them had a burn mark on his arm, similar to that of Andrew's" he says. Taylor shreds the paper.
"Let them in, but lead them to the dungeons" he says. Benjamin shakes his head
"I don't think that's a good idea what i-"
The air in the room got heavy for the wolves to breathe, Rita was not affected and she watched as Benjamin gasped for air.
"I said, Keep them in the dungeons, it wasn't a suggestion but a command" Taylor growls out.
"O-okay" Benjamin rasped out. He gasped for air as he was finally able to breathe again, he stands up and keeps his head down.
"Sorry alpha"
Dan and Max snickered watching this, Rita just watched silently.
"No problem, go do as i told you, Dan go help him" Taylor instructs, the two betas nod and leave.
"Damn Taylor, that was something else, how did you do that?" Rita asks, he shrugs
"Just channeling my anger" he says simply, she nods and walks to the door
"Call me if you need anything friend" she smiles making him smile back.
"Noted"
The door closes after her and Max turned to his mate.
"What's the plan?" He asks, Taylor shrugs.
"I don't know, but all i can say is, those omegas will tell us the reasons for their journey here" he says making Max nod.
"Agreed"
