🌑FALL OF THE ALPHA🌑

He watched the alpha's body plummet to the ground, the gun he was holding emitting smoke, he quickly buried the gun into the ground with black ash.

"Think, think, think"

He broke a tree branch and hit himself on the face with it, he spit out a tooth and some blood, he then broke his arm with the branch.

"Okay, now for help"

"Hunters at the north border, Max! Taylor is hurt" he called out using the pack link.

He laid on the ground next to Taylor, a smirk on his face as he fell unconscious.

Elton and Max were sitting in the kitchen, a glass of wine for each of them

"So i knotted Mike last night" Elton said in pride, he never knew doing something like that could give him a confidence boost, Max chuckled hearing this.

"Oh really?, is he going to carry the pups?" He asked making Elton to freeze, he never thought of that.

"Relax bro, I'm sure you guy will wor-"

He felt intense pain on his stomach making him drop to the ground groaning.

"Max! What's wrong?"

He tried to respond, kai was loudly whining in his head,

"Hunters at the north border, Max! Taylor is hurt!"

He gasped hearing Mike through the link, he stood up clutching his stomach.

"Elton, our mates are in danger" he groaned out making Elton to gasp.

"Hurry, let's go"

The black moon pack was in sad times, Max was unconscious and Mike was in ICU, their alpha......was dead.

"Y-you think he'll wake up?" Toby asked Vera, the nurse sighed sadly,

"Give him time, losing a mate so suddenly can cause shock" she said, Toby nodded his head looking at his stepfather, his lips were sickly blue,his skin pale and he was cold to the touch.

"M-max, you gotta wake up.... ^sniff^.... we need you, I need you....please" he begged, tears flowing down his cheekss.

Max heard everything Toby was saying but he couldn't wake up, he doesn't think he's strong enough to bare the pain of losing a mate, he wants to die, he wants to join his mate and be happy again.

"Max"

His ears focused on the sound he heard.

"Max....you have to wake up"

His heart sank hearing his dead mate, why did the goddess play such a cruel trick on him.

"Max, get up!"

"I....i can't, not without you"

"Max, you're an alpha, you have to be strong for the pack, for Toby and for me"

Tears flowed down his cheeks hearing that.

"I'll try...for you"

He didn't hear a response but he knows he felt Taylor smile at him.

"So what happened?" Benjamin asked, they were in Mike's hospital room, the whole pack demanded to know what happened to their alpha, Tammy and Nicki also demanded answers from Mike.

"Like i said, we were just in the pack house playing games when Taylor suddenly stood up saying there was an intrusion in the pack, so he went to investigate, Max instructed that i follow him there"

"And?"

"We got there and we didn't find anything, he turned to tell me something when we heard gunshots, we were about to shift when he fell down clutching his stomach, i ran towards the area where i heard gunshots and i found hunters"

"What....what happened next" Dan asked.

"The one carrying the gun ran and the other one grabbed a baseball bat and hit me with it"

He said crying, his arm was almost healed, Elton had cried so much seeing his mate unconscious.

"This is bad...the hunters probably heard about an omega being an alpha so they came to see for themselves" Dan concluded making Benjamin agree.

"We should help Max with...the preparations, i can't believe I'm saying this but we should set a date for the funeral"

"We'll see what we can do....Mike, get better soon" Benjamin said standing up, Dan patted Mike's leg and they left the room.

Mike sighed as the door closed,

"The alpha has fallen and so shall his mate" he smirked.
