A U T H O R

"Are you sure you'll be fine here? You know the dorm's safer than your apartment. Those guys would come back and if they really do I don't know what I'd do if you get hurt. You can always stay at the dorm Jennie-yah.."

"Kim Taehyung. You've done so many things for me. Don't worry. I won't open the door for strangers and I will always lock the windows. If something happens to me, it's my fault and not yours so don't blame yourself. I'll be fine. I have Beomie and he's a guy."

He sighed and clicked his toungue. "Arasso. I'll trust you so you better be careful. Call me if you need anything."

"Umhm.. Now go. You don't want to make the others wait." Jennie said and dragged him out of the place. "Focus on work and don't think of negative things. I don't want to be the reason why you're always frowning."

"Alright Ms. Kim. Take care of our son, okay?"

"My son. Not yours. And Jisoo unnie asked me if she can borrow Kuma. She'll take care of him while I'm working. I'll call you if I have time later." She said and hugged him. "Take care." Her gesture made him smile and pat her head. Jennie pulled away and gave a little wave.

"Tss.." He messed her hair and walked towards the van. Jennie waved goodbye until they were far enough.

"Okay. Time to go to work!" She did her morning routine and went to the agency. She was waiting at the lounge, her usual spot for waiting for Lisa, when the door suddenly opened and a Jimin went in. "Oh. Jimin?"

"You're still here?" He asked and sat beside her. "Are you still waiting for Lisa?"

"Yep. I'm ten minutes early so she would probably show up any minute now. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be recording right now?"

"I'm done recording. I'm currently looking for an inspiration to write a song so I'm roaming around the building. Then I found you." Jennie nervously laughed and looked away.

"Ohh.. Is that a good thing?" Jimin chuckled and scooted closer to her. Holy fudge. "Um.."

"Okay. I'll write a song with you. Help me with the lyrics okay?" Jennie felt flustered. Song writing was once her hobby during her highschool days but she never got the chance to show her talent.

Both of them heard the door open. "Jimin hyung." Jennie widened her eyes when she saw Taehyung. This ain't good.

"Oh. Taehyung-ah." Jimin called. Taehyung suddenly stopped when she saw Jennie sitting really close to him. "I was planning to write a song with her since she's still waiting for Lisa."

"Tae-" Jennie wanted to tell him not to get the wrong idea but before she did, Taehyung smiled sat next to her. "You're not mad? We're really just gonna write lyrics."

"Okay." He seriously said and snaked his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. "Go on. Pretend I'm not here." Jennie looked at his hand on her waist then at Jimin's journal.

"Uh.."

"Unnie! Sorry I'm late-" Lisa froze on the spot and noticed Taehyung's hand on Jennie's waist. "Ahem. Am I disturbing something?"

"Ani. I'm sorry, I have to go." Jennie said and pulled Lisa out, leaving the room. "Gosh. You're just in time. I don't know what to do with those two. Tsk."

It was around six when the shooting ended. Jennie asked her driver to drop her at the convenient store near her apartment so people won't suspect.

And she also wanted to buy some cans of beer.

She wore her cap and mask before going in. "Beer..beer.. I miss beer..Oh, here it is." She took eight cans and went to the counter to pay. After, she went out the store casually as if she's not an actress in Korea.

She was heading to her apartment when a young girl, maybe five years younger than her, caught her attention. She was walking back and forth near the bus stop.

"Is she alright?" She approached the young girl. "Hey. Are you okay? You seem panicked."

"Ah.. Ne. I'm just worried of what I'm about to do. I wanted to give something to the person staying in one of those apartments but I don't know how to approach her."

"I'm actually staying in that building too. Who are you looking for? I'll help you."

"She's the daughter of my stepmom. Do you know Annie Kim's daughter? I saw her address in one of my mom's letters."

Jennie felt nervous after hearing that name. She pulled herself together and said, "I'm Annie Kim's daughter. You're my mom's new family? H-how is she?" She took off her mask and held the girl's hand. "Is she doing well? Is she still getting colds often?"

"U-unnie.. Mom died two months ago due to an accident." Jennie felt her heart aching in just a split second. "A car hit her when she was crossing and.. We brought her to a hospital but they said she didn't make it." Feeling numb, she let go of the girl's hand and fell on the ground. "Unnie!"

"W-what.."

"I..saw this inside her drawer." She handed her a white envelope and Jennie slowly opened it. "It seems like mom saved all the money she wanted to send you. Our dad was really tough on her and he wanted her to cut her connections with you. She couldn't send letters either. She would always cry at night thinking about you guys. I'm sorry I didn't get to say anything. My dad forbade me to and.. I have to go home before he finds out I came to see you. I'm sorry unnie." She bowed and left running.

"Eomma.." She couldn't help but clutch on her shirt and cry. "Eomma.." And before she knew it, the rain started pouring above her. She hugged the envelope tight and cried harder.
