RIVER sat at the bar reading through his graduation letter, Rebekah holding up her own as Matt wiped down the bar with a rag.

"So, let me get this straight: you send out a notice of your impending graduation and people feel obliged to give you money?"  Rebekah questioned.

"Pretty much" River nodded.

"That sounds brilliant" Rebekah smiled "Why aren't you participating?"

"I don't have a whole lot of family" Matt informed.

"That makes two of us" Rebekah sighed "Besides, I don't think it was my mother's dream to see me in a cap and gown, how about your mum?"

"Let's just say I'm not holding my breath for a graduation check" Matt sighed.

"Don't even get me started" River sighed.

"Who are you sending yours to?" Rebekah wondered.

"My older sister" River replied.

"You have a sister?" Matt questioned.

"Yep, mom died when I was ten, she was 18, her and her boyfriend, and took me in" River stated "Before I became too much for them at 15 and she sent me here"

"She sounds lovely" Rebekah spoke sarcastically.

River chuckled, placing his letter back on the bar.

Caroline sat beside Rebekah, Matt beside the bar, River pouring himself another glass of bourbon as Elena played darts behind them.

"Is it supposed to rain tonight?" Caroline wondered.

"Do I look like a meteorologist?" Rebekah questioned.

"Well, someone needs to do something, before she explodes" Caroline sighed turning to glance at Elena.

"I got this" River grabbed the bottle of bourbon and a shot glass, approaching the doppelgänger "Drink, you're putting everyone on edge"

Elena tossed back the shot, placing the glass on the table before continuing to throw darts at the dartboard.

"So, what's the deal? I'm new to this whole emotional switch situation" Rebekah wondered.

"It's not complicated" Elena spoke "See that dart board? All I can picture is Katherine's face"

"So your emotions are on, they're just dialled to rage" River rolled his eyes.

"Look, Rebekah, I get that we had our Thelma and Louise thing back when I had my humanity off, but let me make one thing clear: we're not friends" Elena stated.

"What about us? Are we still friends?" Caroline wondered "All those things you said when your humanity was off, is that how you really feel?"

"Caroline, I really don't feel like going down memory lane" Elena sighed.

"Well, what about when you said, and I quote, "You're a repulsive, bloodsucking control-freak monster"? Did you really mean those things?" Caroline asked.
