RIVER stood beside the entrance to the gym, peering inside at the crowd inside, Rebekah stood beside him, the pair of them eyeing Elena. Said doppelgänger looked up, seeing the pair of them stood there, blinking, before seeing the space empty.

"Are you okay?" Bonnie wondered.

"Be right back" Elena nodded.

The girl stood, moving from the gymnasium, walking through the hallway. She could hear the faint sounds of someone crying, sobbing quietly and turned the corner, seeing April.

"April, what's wrong?" Elena worried.

"Nothing" April dismissed "I'm fine"

"But you're crying?" Elena asked.

"It's just the whole mayor thing, you know" April smiled gently "It's bringing stuff up about my dad"

Elena nodded kindly at the girl.

"And I know you're a vampire" April added.

"Wait, what?" Elena gasped.

River sped forwards, snapping the girl's neck quickly, her body hitting the ground with a loud thud.

"Was that necessary?" April wondered.

"No, but it was fun" River stated.

River turned to Rebekah, the blonde grinning brightly.

River moved silently through the library hearing Elena speaking with April.

"Rebekah and River aren't who they say they are, April" Elena said.

"What? Rebekah's not a thousand year old Original vampire? And River isn't an ex-witch turned Original vampire by Rebekah's mother?" April confirmed.

"Listen, we can figure this out, but we have to get out of here" Elena sighed.

Elena grabbed April's arm, pulling her through the library, turning to see Rebekah before them.

"Sorry, not allowed" River grinned.

Elena turned, seeing River stood close behind with a similar grin. He moved forwards, compelling the vampire.

"Why don't you take a seat?" Rebekah smirked "The rest of the class will be here shortly"

River watched as Elena sat at the desk in the library, Rebekah reaching into her pocket and grabbing her phone, dialling a familiar number before throwing the phone to River.

"What?" Stefan's voice rang through.

"Guess who?" Rebekah smirked upon hearing the silence "I'm back, dagger-free, and I'm holding Elena hostage at the high school, just thought you should know"

"Who the hell was dumb enough to pull that dagger out of you?" Stefan wondered.

"I'll be asking the questions today" Rebekah spoke "See you soon"
