3rd person POV

The sunlight passed through the trees, making (Y/N) open her eyes.

She was in a cave, not where her training place was.

What will happen when she soon realizes that Sanda isn't there anymore.

She will have to find her own journey...

Your POV, 5 years old

I woke up, and the sunlight flashed in my eyes.

I reached my hand up so that the sunlight wouldn't get in my eyes.

I quickly sat up, and yawn while stretching.

I remembered yesterday's events, and it made me smile.

I looked over to my side, and see that Sanda wasn't there.

My eyes widened, and I started to panic.

'Sanda?! Where did she go?' I thought to myself.

I got up and ran outside.

I started yelling for her near our cave.

"Mother! Mother!!!" I yelled, and fell to my knees.

Tears started to form in my (e/c) eyes, as I stared at the ground.

I put my tiny hands, on my face as I started to cry.

"M-Mother! Where are you? D-don't... Don't leave me, olease!" I cried out loud. "Don't leave me like my last family did! Please..." I whimpered.

I stopped crying after a few minutes, and ran to the cave.

I looked to see if she left anything.

As I was looking, I saw a crumbled up paper to my left, on the ground.

I ran over to the paper, and picked it up.

(You can go back to the last chapter and see what Sanda wrote on the paper if you need to.)

When I finished reading I tightened my grip on the letter.

My (h/c) hair, shadowed over my eyes. I grit my teeth as tears came streaming down my cheeks.

I dropped the letter, and ran outside.

I kept running and running.

Tears were still falling down my face and I gripped onto my dress as tight as I could.

"SANDA, WHERE ARE YOU???!!!" I screamed with all the air I had in my lungs.

I sat down against a tree.
I started sobbing.
I didn't stop, I didn't want to.

My mother left me, she left me all alone and I don't know what to do.

Why would she leave me like this?

Did I do something wrong?

How could I have upset her enough to make her leave?

'I'm alone again. Why, Sanda?'

I shook my head, and wiped my tears. I stood up.

'No, I shouldn't be crying. Instead I should look for Sanda, and be brave. Like Sanda said, 'Stand with a bright smile, and continue your journey without me. Be happy, not sad.' And that is what I'm gonna do, I'll find you, Sanda. I promise I will.'

I was walking through the woods, and suddenly I hear someone crying and yelling.

I quickly hid behind a tree, and saw a pink-haired boy, who looked my age.

I hid quietly, watching the boy.

"Igneel?! Where are you?! Please don't leave!!!" The pink-haired boy yelled while gripping his scarf.

I tilted my head confused.

'Igneel? Whos that? Wait... what if his dad is also a dragon?' My eyes widened as I smiled, knowing I wasn't alone.

I walked out of the bushes, and walked over to the pink-haired boy.

He heard me and immediately jumped, but calmed down after seeing me.

I smiled at him.

"Hey! Why ya crying?" I asked and bent down to see his face.

He wiped his eyes.

"M-My dad, Igneel... He left me!" He cried.

I smiled sadly to him.

"Really? My mom left me too... So, I guess I'm not alone, huh?" I said while grinning at him.

He looked confused.

At least he stopped crying.

"Well why aren't you sad?" He furrowed his brows while looking at me.

I smiled, and looked ahead with determined eyes.

"Well, my dragon, Sanda, told me not to cry! Because, no matter what, everyone has to leave! But instead of crying- we should smile! Because, they will always be in our heart. That's why I don't feel the need to cry anymore. I'll be brave and smile! And you should to!" I told him.

I extended my hand out for him to grab. He smiled, and grabbed it.

I brought him to his feet.

"Hi! My name is (Y/N)! What's yours?" I asked while we shook hands.

He grinned. "Natsu Dragneel! I'm a fire dragon slayer!" He said, while pointing to himself proudly.

I laughed and nodded.

"I'm an elemental dragon slayer! Your magic is so cool!" I exclaimed.

He smirked.

"Yep! Yours is cool too!" Natsu grinned.

I laughed and said a quick 'Thanks!'

Natsu then extended his hand out to me so I can take it.

I looked at him confused.

"Well, now that we are friends, let's go on adventures together! And maybe, while working together, we will find Sanda and Igneel!" He said while doing a closed-eyed grin.

One of the many more smiles you will see in the future.

I slowly formed a smile, and I took his hand.

"Yeah! Let's go!" I smiled and Natsu dragged me away.

While we ran away together, I only had one thing on my mind.

'Sanda, you were right. Making new friends really isn't that hard!

And I have a feeling that I will go on a lot of adventures...

Where ever you are, I hope you can hear me.

I made a friend, and now I'll find you with him.

Thank you, Sanda. I'll never stop smiling because of you!'

3rd person POV

(Y/N) and Natsu went on many journeys together, they searched for their dragons and made many memories along the way!

Natsu and (Y/N) became the best of friends.

They survived together in the wild. They fought, trained, and even battled with each other!

What happens when an old man finds them in the woods and takes them in?
