03 - TALK IN THE WOODS.

【 FAITH 】
(October 13, 2045)

Another day to count, I'm still alive and kicking. I haven't talk with Norman and Emma since we woke up earlier, they are always together and going to some hidden place in the house to talk.

We have free time and I went out to play with everyone.

"Faith! Faith! Let's play tag! You're 'it'!" I smiled at Nina who's enjoying a ride on Don's shoulder. I raised my arms with a smile on my face.

"Okay! I'll start count-"

"Sorry to interrupt you, but Faith can't play with you today," I look behind me and I saw Ray walking out from the house, he's holding a book on his right hand while his other hand is shoved inside his pocket.

"Ehh? Why?" Dominic asked and blinks as he look at Ray.

"We want to play with her..." Alicia spoke and pouted.

"It's our first time playing tag with her as 'it'," Tom said as he look at Ray with pleading eyes. I smiled and pat Tom's head. It's not really the first time but, it's been a long time since we played this game with me as the 'it'.

"It's okay, we can play again later once we get back," I said and look at Gilda and Don, they already understand what I'm trying to say so they smiled and nodded. When the four of us are not around, Don and Gilda will be the ones taking care of the children. When we sometimes clean some rooms inside the house, the two of them are the ones assigned to look over the kids.

"Don will be the 'it' then!" Gilda shouted and starts running together with Phil. All of the kids split up and run with their might as they smile together.

I must protect those smiles.

We must save and protect those kids.

I promised to Conny that I will escape for her and save everyone. I won't break that promise.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked and tilted my head, he starts walking, so I followed him. He's heading towards the forest and I just follow him while waiting for his answer.

"Those two are in distance, they are trying to figure out what they can do without telling us anything. I tried waiting for them to open up but, they never did," he started.

The two of us became quiet after that and when we reached the forest, he stopped. So I bumped into his back and stopped, too

"We must talk about it with them, but for now...I'll pretend like I know nothing," I grab his arms and make him face me, he cocked a brow and I creased my forehead.

"Why would you? You should tell them! We need to make a plan quickly! We need to save everyone before the next shipment!" I felt nervous when Ray said those words. Why would he want to hide it from them? How am I suppose to tell them about every thing? What is he planning to do now? Why won't he tell me?

"I want everything under control, for now," I furrowed my brows and took a deep breath. What does he mean by that? What's this everything he's talking about? 

"Ray, what are you saying? What do you mean by those words? Do you already have a plan? Why won't you tell me anything? Am I so incompetent? That I can't be of any use to you?" I asked, preventing myself from crying again. Maybe it's because of how crybaby I am that he don't trust me with any of his plans. I need to work with my heart.

How am I suppose to fulfill my unheard promise to Conny if I'm useless? Even though Conny is already gone and can't hear my promises anymore, I know that she wants us to escape this hell, and I will make that happen.
