"Well, it's decided then. Tomorrow, you'll pretend to climb over the wall and escape," Ray sad as he hand over the binoculars, Norman accepted it from him as he reply.

"I'll also carry out the investigation, it's much better to do it right away before they reinforce the security," Norman said, Emma and I nodded to agree. Since Norman finally agree to come with us, we need to know what's outside the wall before they tighten the security.

"Another thing that's been bothering me is..." We all quiet down as Norman spoke and look at Ray.

"Ray, I'll get straight to the point, how did you know about the secret of the house?" he asked, my eyes widened as I heard his question. That's right, I've never asked him before how he find out about the secret of the house!

"I mean, there's really no way to tell under normal circumstances, and there's also no way that Mama would tell you...so how?" Norman asked with a serious voice. We all turn our head to Ray, he was silent as he look down to the floor.

For how many weeks that we've been planning, I never really ask him how he knew about the secret of this house. Plus, he became Mama's spy, Mama can't trust someone who just found out the secret recently, so...

"Oh..that? I already knew from the very beginning," Ray answered, what does he mean...from the very start? I don't get it.

"Do you guys know about 'childhood amnesia'?" Huh? What is that thing, it doesn't sound familiar at all.

"Nope,"

"No idea,"

"What is that?"

The three of us answered at the same time, Ray sat down at the edge of Emma's bed as he sighed, that's not a sigh of disappointment, right?

"How much from your childhood does you three recall?" he asked, I think about for a moment before I answered his question.

"Mine, was probably when I was three," I answered, Norman and Emma agreed.

"Thought so. Naturally, people tend to forget all the memories they had from they were infants and toddlers. This occurrence is also known as 'childhood amnesia'. But, apparently, there are some cases that this phenomenon does not happen to some people," my mouth gaped open as I realized what Ray wants to say. Could it be...

"Ray, it can't be..." Norman mumbled, both Emma and him are surprised to figured out what Ray was about to say as well.

"I still remember things from back when I was an infant," Ray revealed to us. How impressive! I couldn't believe it! It was possible for some people to remember their memories when they were still an infant?!

Ray started telling us about his memories of being an infant, about the lullaby he heard when he's still inside Mama's belly, about how they were split into group of five, and about how he was brought here through a dark tunnel. All of it were memories of Ray when he was still 1 year old.

"Wait a minute! Does mean that you remember the entire year before you were brought here?" Emma asked, surprise by Ray's revelation. Even I and Norman are shocked, it really is unbelievable.

"Yes," Ray answered.

"Wait, then that means that beyond those gates...what awaits us is not the outside world?" Emma asked once again, I kept quiet as I listen to them talk.

"Headquarters. After I was brought here, I was confused why my memories don't match up with the current life we're living. As soon as I became literate, I finally understood what was going on. My memories are real, they aren't made up, this is no mere orphanage. This is the reality that we lived in, that was all in fact...'made up'," Ray paused. I covered my mouth as I listen to him talk. Does this mean...he's been suffering ever since? He...he knew all along and he kept it by himself and then, do everything to create a plan to save us?
