⚜XIX. Look⚜

After I burned down our house, I am now living under my fathers roof. Well, not on the same house anymore. A lot bigger. We're not in the woods anymore. We're inside the town now. New house, it's huge but not as huge as our mansion before.

For weeks, a month, I look for Cecilion ngunit hindi ko ito mahanap. Johnson offer his help that he'll look for Cecilion kaya pumayag ako.

I want to live alone, a peaceful life, but there's something inside me that I want to live with my real father. To fill up the lost years without him.

I figure out that Johnson is his only son. The rest are just adopted. And that little girl, Thalia is Johnson's daughter. She's my niece.

I learn to like this family. They treat everyone equal. Kahit na hindi ka naman kaano-anu, they still call you brother and sister.

But, I don't love this family enough. The only family I will love is probably my brothers and my future family. That's what I have in mind.

I don't know where is Veronika and mother right now. Did they run away town or stay. Or maybe mother seek help to Vasladav, my uncle and Sultan Mumhed, my grandfather who didn't treat us as a relatives when we have nothing.

They're just there when we got everything. This, where we live right now is one of father's property he acquired from compelling people.

Sa likorang bahagi ng bahay na ito ay kakahuyan na, ilang metro ang layo galing sa bahay.

Inside the house is just me, father, Johnson and his wife, his daughter Thalia and those other four werewolf men.

I've learned how werewolves lives works. They also hunt and kill like us but they don't suck blood from other people to fill up their empty tummies. They only hunt for food which is wild animals and they only fight ti protect themselves. They won't get burn in the sun. And most importantly, mates.

I also know that my mother, Jestiva is my real father's mate. He just let my mother go because he love her, seeing her miserable in his arms when she's not with the man she loves will kill him.

How selfish my mother is.

That's love right there. That's our weakness. The greatest weakness I don't want to experience. I don't show love, I probably won't show love or any kind of weakness. It sucks to be a weak like my father. He died and I killed him with my own hands, dessicated him to death. He's weak. I thought he's strong.

"Papa!", I heard Thalia's voice from below.

Dahil sa narinig ay mabilis akong bumaba doon at pumunta sa likorang bahagi ng bahay. Johnson promise me that he'll look for Cecilion.

And the picture that shines in my eyes right now is a result of a true promise. With Johnson is my brothers.

Cecilion and Nathaniel are behind them. In a speed, I went to them and hug them but not too long. Like I said, I shouldn't be drown to any emotions. Iy will only weakened me like how I am drowned to that water with full of vervains.

"Where have you been?", I asked Cecilion.

"Where are you?", he asked back.

"Oh! I see, we're right here now. You're facing each other and yet you two are asking where the hell are you!?", inis na tanong ni Nathaniel.

There's really nothing good comes out from his mouth. .

"I was drowning. Johnson saved me. You?", tanong ko.

Nathaniel burst out laughing. "Like a fish caught with a fish net", he tapped Cecilion's shoulder.

"Lorenzo saw me", maikling sagot naman nito.

That day didn't ended without us catching up. But I didn't tell them what happened at home.

It's just the news they saw. How the life of the famous Vlad the Impaler tragically ended. Vladiskav Lorenzittee is now gone.

Cecilion, he's into reading kaya siya ang unang nakaalam kesa sa kay Nathaniel.

"Where is Veronika and mother?", tanong nito sa akin.

"I don't know. We are both drowning into the sea when that huge fire started", tanging sagot ko.

"And you didn't look for them?", he asked.

Umiling ako. "You know the relationship I have with our mother, Cecilion. She probably don't want to see me and Veronika? She's very mad at us, especially you because you're the one that killed her supposed to be husband!", sabi ko sa kanya.

Narito kami sa ikalawang palapag ngayon. Just the three of us, for privacy. Me, Cecilion and Nathaniel. We're talking about family. Family that our parents started to ruin and I finished it.

"You should have brought her to the hall and allowed her to fight with us against those Sabbatarians", si Nathaniel

"Yes, I killed Dimitri because he's a threat to us. She should be thankful!", tumaas ang boses nito. "I should have let her die and bled to death on Dimitri's arms but I didn't. Because she's our sister".

"Uhmm", a small voice interrupted us. Thalia is standing beside the door. Kita ko ang gulat sa kanyang mukha ng makita kaming tatlo na malapit ng mag-aaway.

"Yes!?", I asked to divert her attention.

Her shock eyes is fixed to Cecilion who looks like a monster in front of me.

"Oh! Sweet little thing", si Nathaniel na kaagad lumapit kay Thalia. "What is it, little girl!?", he asked playfully.

"Nathaniel!", kaagad na sabi ni Cecilion kay Nathaniel habang papalapit ito sa kay Thalia. His voice sounds commanding and full of warning.

"What? She has something to say?", Nathaniel smirks.

"It's dinner time", maliit na mga boses na sabi niya.

"Dinner? I love dinner. Let's go, brothers. It's dinner time", naunang lumabas si Nathaniel sa silid na kinaruroonan namin.

Thalia is waiting for us on the door. Nauna akong lumabas at kasunod ko ang aking kapatid. That's what I thought. Dahil pag lingon ko ay hindi ito nakasunod sa akin. Even Thalia, she's not behind me.

There's really something with the two. I don't know what that is and I have no interest to find it out. It's their lives and not mine. I shouldn't care when I don't even care.
