⚜ XLVII. Apology ⚜

I don't know why Cecilion keep me alive. One thing is for sure, he can't kill his own brother. There's something in his heart that still see me as a brother. As a family. And I owe him that.

Now my humanity is back. I can feel all the sorrows from the past. I killed the man who raised me. I killed my father, my brother and my niece. I don't think I can forgive myself for doing that.

They deserve something from me. I know Cecilion won't go easy on me now. I've witnessed how powerful he had become. He possessed the powers of a witch or any kinds that practice magics and spells. He possessed the power of a hunter which is the Sabbatarians that's why I can't made my way against him. He's beyond powerful than before.

Umilaw ang sa labas ng bahay. Ang kasunod nun ay ang biglang paglitaw ni Nathaniel sa aking harapan. He punch me on the face and almost everywhere. I didn't fight back. I deserves it all anyway. He needs to let his anger pour into me now so he can finally be at peace and be able to forgive me.

"Glad that we meet again!", mabilis na sabi niya ang give me a big blow of a punch.

Ramdam ko ang pagkayanig ng aking mundo. I've never been punch that hard before or even can do something strong as that.

Many things have changed. My brothers grew as a strong Original vampire. I don't deserve them as a brother. They are too good for me. I am not. I'm a bad guy.

They don't deserve a brother like me. But I'm grateful that Cecilion still give me a second chance. I won't waste that chance anymore. Even though I killed his beloved in front of his eyes, he still manage to give me a second chance.

"Remember me!?", si Nathaniel ulit.

"That's enough, Nathaniel!", boses si Cecilion iyon kaya natigil si Nathaniel kakabugbog sa akin.

I have a lots of bruises but it all healed again.

"Why do you keep him alive? I thought you're going to kill him? Where is this cursed vampire and I'll kill him myself for not fulfilling his own duty!", Nathaniel said savagely.

"He's our brother, Nathaniel", si Cecilion.

"A brother that exchanged his family for his own good!", matalim ang mga mata ni Nathaniel ng bumaling sa akin. "A brother who hurts his own brothers".

"I just need something from him, Nathaniel. You can kill him yourself when he screw it up", malamig na sabi ni Cecilion. "Now, Ambrogio. Don't you have something to say after I saved you?".

He's change now. Pain really changes us. I change from being a good son, a good brother into something heartless because of the pain our parents inflicted me. The parents I look up too didn't give me love and care that I needed. Or even just mother. I am his son too and I also need a love from a mother.

"You owe us an apology", si Nathaniel.

Cecilion changed because our father died. And he change into this kind of monster because I killed his beloved. The most important creature in our lives. I took his happiness away from him. What kind of a brother I am?

And for Nathaniel. He change because of seeing and witnessing how I turn to be a monster and turn my back to them for wanting more power. I turn my back to the family that truly cares for me. They only thing I have left. My treasure.

Bumagsak ako sa sahig. I got weak upon realizing what I have done to them. Vampires don't cry. Vampires are suppose to be emotionless. But there are still part of us thats human. We can still feel emotions.

"I'm asking you both for your forgiveness. I'm sorry for what I've done", sabi ko.

Ang akala ko ay sasabat si Nathaniel ngunit tahimik lamang silang dalawa.

"I'm sorry if I became like this. I'm sorry for being a bad brother for the both of you. I'm the older one and I should be the one that's guiding and protecting you, and not yhe kind of brother who will put your lives in danger. Cecilion, I'm very sorry for everything. If there are ways to bring back the time, I will", tumingala ako sa kanya.

I owe then both an apology. That's what they deserve.

"Nathaniel, I'm really sorry for everything. I deserves all your punches and I actually deserve more. I actually deserves the death", sabi ko. "And I'm sorry for being like this. I was too consumed with my anger. You have no idea how I envy your lives. You have parents that cares for you and always be there for you when you need them. How our parents treated me isn't a secret to you. I was raised differently. Unlike the two of you. I lack love and care. I don't know what that means because no one taught me about those things. But I'm thankful for you, Cecilion. You taught me how but I taken it for granted".

"But it isn't right to pour out your anger at us, Ambrogio. It's not us who wronged to you. It was our parents. But why are you dragging us to your misery, huh? You could have just told me that you want a company so I could be there for you. But both of you shut me out", si Nathaniel as he glance ar Cecilion. He's mad at us for doing that to him but I guess Cecilion made it all clear to him that we need to do it for his own good.

"We don't deserve this. We deserve better life. Our family is ruined when Veronika and mother left. We didn't even have a chance to say goodbye!", his voice shakes.

"I also have wronged at Veronika", I confess. "I compelled her and made her think that she killed father".

Dahil doon ay isang malakas na suntok ang aking natanggap sa kay Cecilion. He's closest to Veronika. He cares for her deeply.

"And where is she!?", his voice is fierce. "Don't let my hand make a way again to your chest, Ambrogio", sabi nito sa akin.

Tumango ako sa kanya. "I know where she is and she's alright", sabi ko sa kanila.

"We should be the one taking care of her. I can't imagine her all by herself for seven centuries without her brothers", si Nathaniel. "You better fix this, Ambrogio. It's your job to reunite and tied the broken rope of this family. If you'll screw it up. You won't receive my forgiveness even if you cry a river of blood", he steps closer to me. "I.WILL.NOT.FORGIVE.YOU.", he then walked out with a girl on his arms.

Bumaling ako sa kay Cecilion. His eyes are bloodshot. Puno ito ang galit at puot.

"That's all I ask in return for everything you've done to us, Ambrogio. Restore what we have lost. The family", he said and leave me all alone in the huge burned mansion.

"I will, Cecilion. I promise", sabi ko kahit nakalabas na siya. I know he hears it.
