⚜XXIV. Family means nothing⚜

"How come my belongings get there? I don't know what you're saying, Cecilion. We're both drowning and you know that!", tumaas ang tono ng kanyang boses.

"Really?", I raised an eyebrows to him. I throw the medallion on the table. "I found this inside our parents room. No one holds a medallion except for the two of us. Not even Nathaniel", sabi ko.

"It is because you keep secrets from me even your plans", si Nathaniel.

"And this too", nilapag ko sa mesa ang hairpin niya. It's a royal hairpin for men.
"In the underground room. Full of coffins. What is this thing doing there, brother? Unless you went there?", I glared at him coldly.

I saw how his eyes panic.

"I'm sure you have a lot of explanation to do on how your things end up to those places when you're telling me you don't know father's death! You keep on telling me that we're both drowning when the tragedy happened! WHAT!?", I shouted to his face.

"I don't know how it end up there, Cecilion. Why are you doing this? You're doubting me now? That's why you're always out because you're investigating your father's death when you're telling me you're looking for our mother?", he said and give emphasis to the 'your father'.

"I'm not doubting you because we've been together for years and I know you. Just answer my question. How your things end up there!?", lumapit ako sa kanya.

Imbis na magalit ay natawa siya sa akin. He burst out laughing at my face. Mas lalo lang umusbong ang galit at pagkairita sa akin.

"You killed father, didn't you? You killed him, huh?", I asked.

His sarcastic smile faded.

"You tied him with chains and put him inside the coffin? What? You burned him with the house? Answer me, Ambrogio!?", hindi ko na napigilang itulak siya.

"Is it true?", si Nathaniel. "You killed father?", now, the two of us is mad at Ambrogio.

"YES! I killed him. What? Happy now?", he burst into madness. "I killed him because I got out of control trying to figure out if you're still alive or not. Sinisisi ko siya sa nangyari sa atin. He ruined our family!", sabi ni Ambrogio.

"How dare you killed my father!", sigaw ni Nathaniel at sinugod si Ambrogio.

He's very reckless to attack him.

In a span of second, he's already in front of Ambrogio. He push him so hard hanggang sa tumama ang likod ni Ambrogio sa dingding. The wooded wall wreck. Nathaniel throw punches on Ambrogio's face. Ang dalawang naunang suntok ay tumama, Ambrogio catch Nathaniel's fist and throw him out from the windows.

The glass window broke as Nathaniel landed on the ground outside.

"You have no idea what I feel on that day, Cecilion. You're not there when father said he can't accept me as his son. You can't feel it because all your life, father is there for you always. You didn't see me bled when I needed a parent but they are too busy taking care of you two", tinuro niya ako.

"You should have asked. I did everything for you. I even left my interest just to join you so you won't feel alone. And this is the payment for all of this? You killed our parents! The one who raised us. You killed them!", sigaw ko.

Mabilis niya akong inatake. He punch me on the face na hindi ko kaagad nailagan. When he throw another punch, I caught his fist and twisted it. I punch him on the face too kaya pareho kaming nagkalayo.

I steady my balance when he attack me again. He push his head against my stomach kaya napaatras ako. He push me and we both fall outside the house and landed on the ground. In supernatural speed. I get away from him. Ngayon pareho na kaming nakatayo.

"Have you been called dirty? A dirty son? No, because you're love by everyone close to me, Cecilion. You have no idea how I envy your life and Nathaniel's. But I choose to set it all aside. The jealousy, the hatred because maybe that's it. The younger ones are always the lucky. I longed for a father's love from a wrong person! I did everything to get his attention but he didn't look at me the way he looks at you! He's cruel so maybe he want me cruel because no one taught me how to be gentle and kind. My mind is full of cruelty he feeds me that I take to just want his attention!", sigaw niya sa akin.

"But you did killed him. Ambrogio, that's not the solution to all of our problems. We promised that family always and forever and family above all", sabi ko. "Where's the promise we both made? It's you who ruined it and not father. IT'S YOU!", tinuro ko siya.

"Yes, it is me who ruined our family, Cecilion. I'll take it. Because the only family I consider is just you and Nathaniel. But you both despise me for what I did. You're no difference from Veronika. I did the same thing what you did for her and you came here acting like her. You both don't understand each sides. You only think yourself", he said in gritted teeth.

"Because what you did is wrong!", sabi ni Nathaniel. "You killed my father. You will know the feeling if I get to kill yours", sigaw nito habang hinihila ang ama ni Ambrogio.

Antonius Morgenstien is drag outside. Nasa likod ang parehong kamay nito. Nathaniel is holding a silver knife and push it against the neck of Antonius. The blood came out.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Ambrogio.

"Nathaniel. No!", sigaw ko.

The old man hissed in pain. Silver is werewolf's weakness. As well as vampires but silver can't harm Originals.

"Stop it! If you do that, I won't recognize you as a brother!", sigaw ni Ambrogio.

"Oh! Really? Have you thought about it when you killed my father? When his blood streamed down like this", Nathaniel slashed Antonius's neck at kaagad na maraming dugo ang lumabas.

Kaagad na sinalubong ni Ambrogio si Nathaniel ngunit kaagad akong pumagitna sa kanilang dalawa.

"We are family and we shouldn't be fighting!", pigil ko sa dalawa.

"You should have also thought that before you put all the blame to me. I indeed killed our father. It's not just you who feel devastated about it. I look up to him more than anyone, more than you do. But we all have different perspective on different things, Cecilion. The don't see my side even if we're always together. You don't know I have to turn off my humanity", sabi nito at kaagad na sinaksak sa akin ang isang dagger.

Napaluhod ako sa lupa dahil doon. I pull it out from my chest at kaagad na umikot para makaganti ngunit si Antonius ang aking natamaan. The silver dagger is planted on his chest, right where his heart is.

Antoniu's eyes widened at kasabay noon ay ang malakas na sigaw ni Johnson. Tumakbo ito palapit sa amin at kasunod niya ay si Thalia na tulala.

"PAPA!", si Johnson.

"Family means nothing to me now, Cecilion", he smirks at hinayaang bumagsak sa lupa ang katawan ni Antonius. He pick up the dagger at sinalubong ng saksak si Nathaniel.

He fall into the ground, trying to pull out the dagger.

"Papa!", sigaw ulit ni Johnson ngunit bago pa siya makalapit ay sinalubong ng kanyang dibdib ang kamao ni Ambrogio. His fist went through his body. Nabutas ang kanyang dibdib. Ng binunot ni Ambrogio ang kanyang kamao ay dala nito ang puso ni Johnson.

How can he be so heartless now.

"Papa!", Thalia screamed as she fall into the ground.

"I now realize I don't need a family, brother", he said to me and turn his back. "I'm giving you a chance to live. Both of you because you we're once good to me".

"You give him the dragon blood elixir?", si Nathaniel.

Wala akong masagot. I know it's wrong. He shouldn't have seen that thing.
