THIRD PERSON’S POINT OF VIEW
“Do you think I’m that oblivious to not know what you did?” Ash Lee was really furious about what she found out. “Well, that’s too bad Henry. I’m way ahead of you.”
There were rumors spreading throughout the campus before this tournament took place.
Ash Lee and her co-officers received word that someone has been raped in the premises of the campus. That’s why Ash Lee was very busy working on that case.
“I—I just did that because I was too drunk! It’s not fully my fault, Ash. It just happened.”
Henry tried to plead his case, downplaying his sin but Ash Lee didn’t budge.
“Please... please Ash Lee… just... just give me a fucking chance!”
“Fuck it, Henry! Tumigil ka na!” Ash Lee yelled at him as she desperately tried to remove Henry’s grip on her wrist.
Meanwhile, Alexis’ game had concluded. They won, it was a tough game, especially for Alexis as the opposite team was really competitive to win.
“The MVP of this game.... none other than, Alexis Kai Smith from Wetherton University!”
The emcee announced, everyone was cheering for her as she stepped on the center, waving to the crowd. Alexis happily received the award with her teammates.
“Where’s Ash Lee?”
Stephanie noticed that Ash Lee had disappeared. Nagtaka si Alexis nung mapansin niya na wala nga si Ash.
“Nandito siya kanina, right?”
“She excused herself kanina, but that was 1 hour ago. I don’t know kung saan siya pumunta.” Haji said, Alexis started to get worried because of it.
Pero nung hahanapin na dapat niya si Ash, bigla siyang nahila ng mga kateammate niya pabalik sa locker nila.
Nang makumpleto ang mga players sa locker room, nagstart na sila magplan for their celebration party.
“Hey, Alexis pupunta ka ba mamaya sa party?” One of her teammates asked, but Alexis was zoned-out. “Hey? Alexis”
Napatingin siya sa nagtatanong nung tinapik siya nito, nagtataka siyang tumingin rito. Her teammate asked her again but Alexis refused this time.
“I don’t know eh, I’ll just rest muna siguro.” Alexis refused politely. Her teammates were disappointed pero wala naman silang magagawa.
After mag-ayos ni Alexis ng mga gamit niya nauna na siya magpaalam sa teammates niya as Chloe and Ranzi were waiting for her.
Habang naglalakad siya papunta sa parking lot, she suddenly heard something coming from the area papunta sa may fountain.
“Stop i—”
A familiar voice she heard, napatigil siya sa paglalakad at tumingin sa direksiyon kung saan niya narinig yun.
Alexis was frozen in place when she saw a sight that shattered her heart into a million pieces.
