Chapter 14

As they all reached Hogwarts, they went to Great hall for Welcome ceremony. Throughout the train ride Hadrian thought about what Luna said and decided to follow her advice. He will play nice golden boy for Albus for a change.

As the sorting started Hadrian noticed Daphne's sister Astoria also got into Slytherin. The stupid fan boy who was trying to click his pictures throughout great hall Colin got into Gryffindor. His new ally Luna lovegood got into Ravenclaw. He decided time has come to poison remaining to houses. The female weasley got sorted in Slytherin. She looked like she was urge on crying and her brothers were throwing icy glares at her. After sorting, finished McGonagall came in center.
Then McGonagall announced:" a student has been sorted under false name, which brought to our notice by an anonymous benefactor. She will be resorted under real name: Lestrange Hermione".
Hermione came forward on stool and McGonagall placed hat on her.
Hat shouted "Gryffindor".
Hadrian thought 'This will test Neville'. Then he locked eyes with Neville.
Neville mouthed 'Why didn't you tell me?' He just responded with cold icy glare which can make even Death eater shiver.

As things completed, everyone went to dorms. Hadrian wanted to sort things quicker and in front of full house so not even seniors have any doubts in their mind that who rule them. As soon as Prefects completed with their speech, Hadrian ordered Theo explain rules to first year. Theo nodded with understanding. Hadrian took his place on chair with Pansy, Blaise and Draco on his sides, the higher year looked warily. His class years were standing behind him as support to King.

Theo took deep breath and announced: "As our Prefects mentioned welcome to Slytherin. My name is Theodore Nott. I am one member of Slytherin's Elite group. As a slytherin it is your duty to understand and follow system. If you fail to do so you will end up at the bottom of food chain. This is Hadrian Potter, our Slytherin King. One who decides what goes inside these walls and what will we as House represent to school. He is the power that unites this house and help us retain our glory in Hogwarts history. For your own future and safety do not try him."
Then he looked towards weasley girl and continues:" Forget about your past, status, obligations or old loyalties. Out of this dorm we present united front."
Hadrian raises his hand to interrupt Theo and nodded towards Draco.
Draco came forward: "Inside this house our group will be called Fangs of Shadows. There will be eight generals as of now which makes inner circle of court. New one will be added based on your own worth. Six generals are myself as Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson, Daphne Greengrass, Theodorr nott and Tracey Davis. Two other generals are Hermione Lestrange and Neville Longbottom. They are Gryffindor and have free access to enter our common room for King's court. You will soon find out who all other are member of our group. We don't want everyone to join us. But every Slytherin must follow our rules and order. Any disrespect to any member of Fangs no matter what his/her rank is will not be tolerated."
Draco then step back and looked at Theo.
Theo: "There are few selected rules that will be enforced on our house by fangs of shadows.
First: while we have nothing against blood supremacy, we won't tolerate any slender word or remarks on our members or on the person which King has sight on. Second: No matter how important matter it is, you cannot go to King directly without consulting one of his generals. His time is precious and better spent in sharpening his powers rather than some childish annoyance. I repeat if you love your sleep do not approach Hadrian directly. Finally we are not Dark house as popular belief. We are house of Sly, cunning and ambitious. So if you cause trouble don't get caught. Have a strong alibi with you all time. Work in shadows"
He looked Hadrian with hint of fear before continuing:" One last thing from personal experience do not ever comment anything on King's family or he will make you remember your punishment"
Hadrian nodded and Theo breathed in relief: "Any questions"

One of first year boy came forward: "Why do we have to fear you? You are nothing but a poster boy media created..."
He heard few gasps which made him stop. Other first year took step back in fear.
Hadrian came forward towards boy: "Really. Let me show you why"
Hadrian released his magic and boys wand turn into python. The python started squeezing boys body and reached boys head. Boy shouted in fear: "please help. It hurts.. This python will eat me alive"
One Prefect bow on one knee: "sire. He is just a boy. Please have some mercy. He will learn"
Hadrian rolled his magic back and python turned into boy's wand again. The boy fell on floor. Hadrian looked towards others: "Anyone else". No one even looked above ground level. After seeing what Hadrian can do wandless they understood meaning of Theo's words. Even higher years dropped their doubts or plan of challenging him. With that Hadrian left the dorm.

On the other side at Gryffindor house Neville silently went into girls' dorm to talk with Hermione.
Neville: "I am going to talk with Hadrian after this. But first I want to know from you why you didn't tell me"
Hermione: "Don't. You really think Hadrian tells you everything. He is King. He will always keep some cards close even from his most trusted. That's what every ruler do. And on what ground are you asking me to tell you things when you also hide things"
"What you mean"
"Oh come on I am not first Gryffindor who turn dark. It's you"
" ah. yes. But it's not same."
"Don't be naive. Think about it you embraced dark by yourself and Hadrian only helped you to be stronger. This might be his way to taste you. Who knows? You can't keep Grudge on my mom when it's your gran for your misery"
"I guess.."
"Look Neville I like you I really do. You are very close to Hadrian. Don't spoil your hard earned position by asking questions like this. Moreover I really need you now more than ever"
"What do you mean"
"I am only death eater's child in lion's den. I will be first on their target list. I need you. I am still same girl who was your friend when no one was talking to you"

Neville think about what she said for a moment, also how powerful he has become due to his King's help. Then suddenly Luna's words hit his brain. So this is the choice she talked about.

Neville sighed and nodded :" Don't worry. I lost myself for few moment of weakness but I will stay with you and help you in every way I can. I would never disappoint my king and also will never do anything which broke his trust on me"
"Thank you Nev"
"ah.. one more question.. what's with the new look? "
"ha..ha.. I started thinking you will never notice. It was aunt Cissa's idea. If girl look pretty, boys will try on courting instead of harming. Moreover I have to act like Pureblood now. Not the shit blood status talk but have to show elegance of heiress" With a wink Hermione left for her room.
