Hello not so stranger

It's 3 in the morning and I'm tossing and turning in my bed. I can't sleep. I closed my eyes and opened it again. Maybe I should do something. I'm in my room thinking about a person. "Nah, don't think about him" I told myself. I decided to go to the kitchen to get milk to help me get some sleep.

I stepped in to the cold marbled stairs barefooted. I want to feel the cold sink in my system. I want to feel I'm alive because somewhere my heart is missing. I feel numb for two years now. I reached the kitchen and opened the ref and put the milk into my glass. I was about to finish drinking when my phone was ringing. I thought my heart will moved out from my ribcage since it's so silent and who the earth will call for this Godly hour. "Private Number" it says on the screen of my phone. Do I need to answer this now? I asked myself. Curiousity attacks me. "Hello?"
"Sweetheart" a husky voice that I will never forget in a million years. Muntik ko na mabitawan yun phone ko sa pagkagulat. I was shocked and surprised! It's Brandon...
"Who is speaking please?..." I know him that he is the caller pero nagkunwari akong hindi ko siya kilala. Namanhid ako sa kinatatayuan ko. Kakainom ko lang pero biglang nanuyo ang aking lalamunan.
"It's me Bran, how are you my sweetheart?"

"I'm fine brother, how are you? Do you know what time is it here?" medyo nasabi ko sa iritadong boses
"I know Jas, don't call me brother for goodness sake!" he sound terribly irritated too.

"Hmm bakit napatawag ka?"

"I will come home soon kaya unang una kitang sinabihan, I want you to fetch me in the airport" he commanded.

"Teka muna mister antipatiko, kailan pa ako naging driver mo?!" sambit ko.
"Do as I say, I want to surprise Mom and Dad" he paused and added "please" in a small voice.

So uuwi na sya. Ang kuya ko. Hindi mo sya kuya Jasmine, Hallerrr?! sabi ng isang bahagi ng utak ko.

"Hello Jas?, are you still there???.."

"Yes Bran, hmm about the thing when is your flight?"

"I'll be there on saturday morning, 7am"
so uuwi na talaga sya at in 2 days!! don't panic saway ko sa sarili ko. Bakit ba ako nagpapanic eh uuwi lang sya? What's the matter Jasmine? What's wrong with me. Sabi ko dati pag umuwi sya hindi ko na sya kakausapin. Dahil sa nakita at nalaman ko. I gave up on him. I will stick to my word.

"By the way I'm bringing a friend, can you arrange the guest room for me? the one beside my room. Thank you! I have lots of stuff for you"

anu un suhol? After a year na hindi ka nagparamdam sakin biglang bigla ka na lang babalik? Okay na sana, sanang tinuluy tuloy mo na ang pagkawala sa buhay ko...
Ang dami kong gustong sabihin sayo kaso pinigilan ko ang sarili ko.
"Sure! Bran goodnight I'm sleepy"
I dismissed him. Sinabi ko sakanya na may fake na hikab pa para kapanipaniwala.

"Bye!" at agad kong pinindot ang end button.

Nagmadali akong umakyat sa taas sa kwarto ko. My heart is beating so fast. Hindi ko alam dahil ba sa kanya or dahil sa paglakad-takbo ko?! Maybe both! Humiga na ako agad sa kama ko at nag-isip ng plano. Hindi ko na namalayan ang oras at nakatulog na ako.
