the big question (part 1)

Phillips pov

    I stood next to my mom in the kitchen while I helped her make breakfast. "Do you think I should do it mom?" I ask as I nervously glance at my light grey socks.  "Sweetie if you love this girl go get her." She said then gave me a soft smile. It was the kind of smile that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. "In not sure about this." I say stumbling over my words. "My sweet boy, if dating Theo and taking her to the spring dance makes you happy then you have to go for it, no matter what your dad's think." My mom tells me while wrapping he arm around my shoulder. "Your right mom well I better get on my way then." I give her a quick kiss on her cheek then rushed to catch the bus.

Angie sat down next to me and hands me a light purple sign with big sparkly blue letters that say, Dear Theodosia will you go to the spring dance with me? I made it and Angie decorated it. As we bounce in our seats as we head towards the school I can't help but be nervous my hands are shaky and my palms are sweaty. My brain thinking of ever single outcome. Just then the bus stops I glance out the window past Angie to see Theo on the wooden bench reading her copy of Cinderella. Me and Angie walk out of the bus and I take a deep breath trying to prepare myself for the big question.

I walked towards Theo her brown hair falling around her shoulders. She was wearing I blue blouse, a pair of old jeans and light blue socks. She smiled at me and placed her book in her black backpack. Thats when I said

"Theo I have a little surprise for you." "What is it Phillip"? I said eagerly as I stepped towards him. I got down on one knee, Angie handed me the sign we made. My heart was pounding I felt everyone's eyes on me. "Theo will you go to the spring dance with me?" I did it I felt so relieved then I look up at Theo. She was smiling from ear to ear I'd never seen her smile so big, I could feel my cheeks blush. "YES!" She said. I stood up and picked her up off the ground next thing I know her soft lips are on mine. The kiss last for a good 15 seconds but it feels like hours. She looks up and smiles at me, everyone starts clapping I smile and she does too. The bell gives a long ring and we head inside.

I barely pay attention during any of my classes I just cant believe she said yes, I sit there dazed thinking about how magical that kiss was, I never knew Theo was such a good kisser. At lunch we plan out are outfits, we plan to go shopping this Sunday, Saturday will tell are father's and hope for the best. Neither of them are going to be pleased but it doesn't matter what they say me and Theo are going to that dance no matter what. The bell rings for the end of the day and I rush to the bus to tell mom all about today.

"Hey mom!" I say as I walk through the door. "What are you smiling so bright about my son?" She asks me with a smirk. "Nothing, Theo just said yes were going to the dance together!" "No way son, that is so exciting!" "Its true and she's coming to dinner on Saturday so we can tell her dad and my dad." "Ok, I'll start preparing a amazing meal I must help you convince your father." "Thanks mom your the best."

Will then crawled up to Phillip out of the dinning room, Phillip scooped him up and placed him on his shoulders. "Wheeee!" He squealed. "Your a general!" Phillip said as he ran around the front entry way. Phillip and Will continued this game for a while till Phillip got tired and sat down the couch and placed Will next to him. Just then John ran in and started tickling his brother they laughed and played.

Phillip went upstairs and started working on his English essay but he got barely got any work done because all he could think about was Theo. He wished he could still be kissing he soft lips. Just then he heard a knock on his door it was Angie,

"Dinners ready Phillip!"

"Coming!" I yelled back.

After dinner I went to bed I was exhausted after playing with the boys and school, I needed the sleep anyways I had football practice the next day. As I drifted off to sleep I dreamed of kissing Theo her hands playing with my curly brown hair, my hands gripping her hips.
