trouble on the last day (part 3)

Theo's pov

I went downstairs my dad sat there writing in his office, I walked in. "Hey dad." I said as I took a seat in a black leather chair. "Hey Theo." He told me as he put down his quill. "You seem nervous Theo, what's wrong?" My father asked me as he shifted in his chair. "It's just we find out what collage we got into today, I'm scared me and Phillip won't get in to the same collage." I looked down at my feet as I talked, I'd never really been open about how much it would hurt me if I couldn't be with Phillip. "Theo your the smartest girl and Phillips smart too, I'm sure you'll both get in." My father told me as he stood up and wrapped his arms around me. "I hope so." I told my dad as he stroked my head. "Come on Theo let's get ready." My dad told me as we walked upstairs together.

I grabbed a white dress with little daisy's out of my closet, I pulled it over my head it flowed down to my knees. I loved the way it would sway in the wind, I grabbed my watch and placed it on my wrist. I brushed my hair and teeth, then walked downstairs to meet up with my dad. He stood there by the door "You ready to go? He asked. "Yup." I replied as we walked down are porch towards his car. I watched as the houses flew by I saw Phillip and his siblings getting in his parents car, I wish I had siblings I was so lonely. My dad is always busy with his work, so I've loved having Phillip around. Finally someone I can talk too and Angie a girl close to my age that understands me. We pulled up to the school and went inside. The room was covered in white chairs it was still early so not many people where there, I saw Jackson with his dad in the corner I waved and he waved back. I noticed his dad give him a dirty look, but he didn't seem to care. Me and my dad took a seat near the front, I looked back to see Sarah and George Eacker together. That's odd I thought to myself as I watched them take a seat next to the gym door. Sarah looked back at the chairs next to her, Eacker grabbed her face and kissed her. I watched her struggle to pull away but he seemed to tighten his grip on her chin.

Phillip walked in and sat next to us, his siblings and parents right behind him. Our principal started his speech I tried to pay attention but quickly found my mind starting to wander. What if I got in to kings and Phillip didn't? What if he gets in and not me? I was so nervous I couldn't bare to not be with Phillip, I felt my heart speed up I took a deep breath it seemed to calm me a bit. I looked up to see my principal walk towards us with a stack of letters in his hands, I grabbed my letter I fiddled with it in my hands. I slipped open the letter and pulled a folded piece of paper out. I scanned the paper I'd read the full thing letter all I cared about was whether I got into kings. That's when I saw it in dark black blocky letters, I got in my mom would have been so proud if she was here. Phillip looked at me and said as he smiled ear to ear "I got into KINGS!" "Me too!" I say as I wrapped him into my arms, I couldn't believe it we were gonna get the next 4 years together. "Were gonna go to collage together." Phillip told me, he seemed so excited and so was I. "First we spend collage together then eternity." I told him as I smiled at him and grabbed his hand. "What do you mean Theo by eternity, are you saying you wanna get married." "What do you mean Theo by eternity, are you saying you wanna get married." Phillip asked me kinda playfully. I started to freak out what if that's not what he wants he asked me like he wanted to be with me but how could I be sure. I glanced back at my dad to make sure he wasn't listening I'm sure if he knew I wanted to marry Phillip he wouldn't be so happy. "Cause if so I'm in, cause your the love of my life." Phillip said breaking the silence, wait he wanted to marry me. I was in shock we were gonna be able to spend eternity together unless our dad's tried to stop us. "Thats exactly what I meant Phillip." I told me as she ruffled his hair as a response to him pushing a curl of my hair behind my ear.

"So kids did you get in?" Eliza asked us a small baby in her arms, that must be Phillips youngest sibling I thought to myself. I looked at Phillip he nodded at me. "We got into kings!" We both said in unison, my father's face lit up with pride. His arms wrapped around me and I was lifted to my feet. "I knew you'd get in Theo, I'm so proud of you and your mother would be to." He told me as he smiled I watched him wipe away a small tear from his eye. I saw Phillip was looking at me, I noticed his dad was also hugging him. He seemed so happy It made me happy too, Phillips smile was so contagious. "Hey kids why don't you go talk to some classmates see if there going to kings too." Phillips father told us. We walked off together, we tried to see if we could find Sarah I knew she applied to Kings. I saw someone walk out the gym door, I noticed Sarah was no longer where she was sitting earlier. "Let's check outside." I told Phillip as I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the door.
