Angie's secret (part 1)

Phillips pov

I woke up and walked down our stairs, I had to meet up with Theo so we could mail our collage applications. I expected to see my no the making breakfast but when I opened the door my father stood there instead of my mom. "Oh hey dad." I told him, I was so confused my dad never made breakfast anymore. "Hey son, good morning." My father told me as he smiled. "Why are you making breakfast and not mom?" I asked him as I grabbed a bottle of apple juice, and poured some in a red cup. "Your mother didn't sleep well last night, Will had a bad dream and refused to go back to sleep." My father explained as he handed me a crisp golden brown waffle. " Angie walked in and sat down next to me, "Hi Phillip you excited to graduate." She said with a smile. "I'm so excited I've been waiting for 4 years." I told her as I grabbed my backpack off the floor. I inished my waffle and then we walked towards the door.

Once we arrived at school I was about to walk to Theo but then I noticed Angie walking away from me. "Where you going Angie?" I asked her. "Umm I just got to meet up with a friend?" She told me as she ran off, that was odd I thought to myself Angie doesn't have many friends. "Hey Phillip." Theo said. "Oh hi Theo." I responded. "You good Phillip you seem off." She asked me she seemed concerned. "I'm fine you just startled me." I replied. We walked towards the school together Theo looked worried, "Why do you keep looking over your shoulder, are you hiding something from me?" She asked me kinda sternly I knew she meant business. "It's just Angie she said she was meeting up with a friend, but she doesn't have many friends." I told her. "That's odd." Theo replied. "I know I just hope she isn't getting in trouble." I told her as the bell rang.

The rest of the school day was so boring but once it was over I meet up with Theo on the football field. We walked hand in hand towards the mailbox, we decided to mail our collage application letters together, I was so scared what if I got in and she didn't. I couldn't bare to be without her, we arrived at the mailbox and we placed our letters inside. "Wanna go back to my house theo?" I asked her. "Sure but what would we do there?" She replied. "We could hang out with my siblings." I propose. "That's sounds fun let's go." She told me as we walked towards my house. We walked up to my door and opened it to a young Will running up to us, Alexander Jr right behind him. "Where's Angie Phillip?" My mother asked franticly. "She's not with us, I haven't seen her since this morning." I told her my mother looked so worried. "Oh God where's my baby girl." My mom said freaking out. Just then my dad ran in "was she with them." He asked with pure terror in his eyes. "No." My mom told my dad. "Phillip, Theo watch the kids were going looking for her." My mom instructed me very sternly, me and Theo took the kids and tried to distract them. "Where do you think Angie is?" Theo asked me. "Probably with whoever she went to talk to this morning." I told her I could tell she was worried and so was I.

After several hours of watching the kids the door opened, I heard footsteps going up our stairs. I left Theo with the kids and rushed up the stairs, I saw Angie's door close I barged in. "Angie." I said as I opened the door. Angie stood there next to her was a girl with dirty blonde hair, she looked back at me. "Angie where have you been and who's this? I asked her and the girl next to her. "This is just my friend Molly Brown." She told me as she stumbled over her words she looked panicked. "Why is she here, and why are you out so late mom and dad where worried sick." I told her. "We were just, just." Angie said when she was inturupted by the blonde girl. "You haven't told then Angie." She said quietly. "What haven't you told me ANGIE!" I screamed in her face. Just then my parents ran in Angie my father grabbed her and gave her a big hug. "Who's this?" My mother asked. "Mom, dad I have to tell you something." Angie said as she looked down and fiddled with her hands. "What is it sweetie." My mother told her as she gave my sister a gentle and comforting smile. "I'm a lesbian, and this is my girlfriend Molly." She said pointing towards Molly, I was shocked absolutely shocked but I was so happy for her. "Aww Angie, why didn't you tell us you know will always accept you." My mother told her. Angie stood there crying, that's when Molly wrapped her arms around her and said "it will be ok, shush don't cry I'm here" her voice was like honey soothing and comforting. I watched as Angie sniffed back her tears, "I should have told you but I was scared you'd abandon me." She said. "We would never abandon you." My father told her. I watched as she ran into his arms, "it's nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Hamilton, I'm Molly Brown." Molly said kindly. "It's nice to meet you too Molly." My mother told her. "Wanna stay for dinner?" My mom asked. "Sure." Molly replied.

We went downstairs, I watched as my mom headed to the kitchen. I noticed Theo with Will on her shoulders, "What happened Phillip?" Theo asked me she seemed concerned I knew how much we deeply cared about Angie. "She was just out with her girlfriend she's alright, nothing bad happened." I told Theo. I saw that Theo was smiling "Aww I'm so proud of her, finding love." Theo said with a soft smile. Will looked at me and said, "Theodowsia is fun." I smiled Theo was laughing, "Well it seems like Will likes you." I told her as we sat Will down on the couch. "I think they are starting to like me." Theo told me, she seemed happy that my family liked her. "Dinners ready!" My mom called.

We all sat down at the table I noticed Theo was talking to Molly, they seemed to be getting along perfectly. My mother made sure everyone got some food, I noticed my dad smiling at my sister. Theo looked over at me and gave me a loving smile, she glanced towards Angie and Molly. I looked at them to see what Theo was smiling about, I noticed Angie smiling and Molly smiling back at her. "Young love, is so cute." Theo whispered in my ear. After dinner I walked Theo home, as we walked it started to rain I noticed her shiver. I handed her my jacket, I was now cold and wet but I didn't care as long as she's warm. "Thanks Phillip." She told me as she looked up at me and kissed my cheek. We arrived at her house, I saw her father grab her and wrap his arms around her. As I walked home I couldn't help but feel sad Theo had such a beautiful bond with her dad, my dad barely had time for me anymore. I remembered how much attention I got as a child, I missed that. I arrived at my house and helped my parents clean up, I went upstairs and walked past Angies room her door was slightly open. I spotted her kissing Molly I quickly went into my room, I never thought that Theo would find a lover. I had always imagined her as my younger sister and that was it today made me realize she was growing up. I got in my pajamas and got ready for bed, I was tired stress always made me tired.
