Marry me my love

Phillips pov:

I paced the hall back and forth glancing at the family photos on the wall every so often. Tonight was the night it was finally here but now the excitement that had been building had turn to nerves. What if she said no, what if after what if passing through my brain. I didn't even notice when Angie walked right past me into the kitchen. I managed to convince myself after a while that all this worrying was useless and that I might as well get ready. I went upstairs to the bathroom and took a quick shower the water seemed to relax my muscles and get rid of some of my worries. I got on a clean pair of clothes for the mean time before I got into my more fancy clothes later. I picked up a book from my desk and sat down on my bed might as well right some poems that should help me calm down.

After a while I realized it was time to get going so I grabbed a light grey suit from my closet and put it on. I quickly brushed my hair and teeth, I could feel myself panicking as the moment came closer on closer but I just tried to calm down. I headed down stairs and my mom wished me luck as I headed outside and began the walk to Theo's house.

Theo's pov:

It was my birthday but for some reason my dad seemed more excited then me, I thought it had something to do with my birthday present at first. Though he still seemed excited for something after he gave it to me. The gift had been a lavender dress with small yellow daisy's covering the skirt. It was beautiful the daisy's gave the dress a nice pop of color that I liked. My dad suggested that I wear it tonight when I go and meet up with Phillip. Phillip refused to tell me where we were going said it was a birthday surprise, he was probably gonna give me his gift for all I know.

I missed Phillip he was always busy lately doing something but what I don't know, not even Angie would give me any hints. I often wondered about what it could be but I could never figure anything out that made sense. I just focused on keeping myself busy in the meantime by reading or drawing but atleast I was gonna get to see him tonight. As it started to get late I realized I had to start getting ready so I showered and put on my new dress. I looked and the mirror, I hadn't really realized till then how much I looked like my mother. I quickly finished getting ready though I didn't wanna be late, so I curled my hair into lose curls and put on some light makeup. I took one more glance in the mirror to make sure I looked perfect, I wanted to look good for this surprise after all.

Phillip's pov:

I arrived at her house 5 minutes later and knocked on the door, Theo opened the door only moments later. I was taken aback a bit by how beautiful she was her hair was done all nice and her dress was beautiful. "Wow, you look absolutely stunning and happy birthday my love." I said as she stepped outside. "Thanks you look quite handsome yourself. " She told me as she took my hand. "Now where are we going?" She asked me curiously. "You'll see.." I told her as I lead her away from her house.

The walk to the forest clearing wasn't far at all, Theo kept glancing around trying to recognize where I was taking her but from the look in her eye I could tell she had no clue. When we got close to the clearing I instructed her to cover her eyes which she did and then I carefully guided her into the clearing. The sun was starting to set as we arrived and she looked even more beautiful some how in this lighting.

"Are we there?" She asked once we had stopped moving. "Yup." I replied as I took her hands off her eyes. I watched as she looked around taking in the sights and smells of this new place. "Wow this place is beautiful Phillip." She said as she looked back at me. "It is but not as beautiful as you." I told her as I bent down onto one knee. She looked down at me in shock she definitely wasn't expecting this so far my plan was going well. "Theodosia Burr will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" I asked as I smiled brighter then I ever had.

Theo's pov:

This was really happening he just asked me to marry him, my heart was beating a million miles a hour. This was the best surprise ever I was in total shock. I smiled at him and said "YES!" He stood up and placed the diamond ring on my finger the silver ring shined in the moonlight and was gorgeous. He then pulled me towards him and kissed me. My life couldn't be more perfect I was gonna marry the man of my dreams.
