Theo's pov
I woke up and grabbed my homework that I left out last night on my desk. I walked over to my closet and scanned through till I found my black skirt and a very light yellow shirt. I got changed and then brushed my hair and teeth, I slipped down the stairs once I was done. "Hey dad, can you pick me up after today's football game?" I asked as I brushed my hair behind my ear. "Sure sweetie, when should I pick you up?" He asked me as he looked away from his work. "Well I'm not sure when it will end, can I just call you." I said shyly. "That's fine Theo, now you better go eat breakfast or were gonna be late." He told me as he picked back up his quill. I walked away smiling and grabbed a granola bar from the pantry. I walked outside a couple minutes later and hopped in the car.
As we drove towards the school, I looked out my window I watched my neighbors houses fly by. I noticed Phillip standing outside his house waving goodbye to his little brother Will. His family was so cute Phillip of course was cute himself, but his siblings were all very cute. Will had cute freckles and short curly brown hair, just like his older brother. Angie looked like her mother they both had long dark brown almost black hair, it was very straight unlike Angie's brothers she was also very sweet and compassionate same as her mother. For a second I wished I had a sibling, I known they can be annoying but of I had one I wouldn't have spent most of my childhood alone. I had my dad and mom back then but dad was always busy with work and once mom died I was all alone. I snapped out of my thoughts as I felt a bump in the road, I knew immediately that we were near the school, my school had speed bumps set up all around so nobody could speed and hit a kid with a car.
I hopped out of my dad's car and headed to my bench I just sat there in the sun I didn't feel like reading. I sat there the sun shining down on me luckily we weren't that early today and so Phillips bus arrived only a couple minutes later. He strut towards me smiling, Phillip grabbed my hand and walked me into the school. I had geography first period so I want there right away. Mr. Lafayette stood in front of the chalk board writing today's lesson on the board, we were learning about the battle of Yorktown which my father fought in along with our proffeser and Phillips dad. Of coarse my dad had already told me everything about the war already, but I payed attention any ways because ever war vet told the story there own way, same story different point of view. "Ok, class today were learning about the battle of Yorktown." He said as he pointed towards the chalk board with a ruler. "Does anyone know what the battle of Yorktown was?" He asks as he scans the classroom for answers. I raised my hand super fast, I had been waiting for my teachers to ask this question for years. "Yes theo." He says as he points towards me. "The battle of Yorktown was what caused the end of the revolutionary war." I said confidently. "Correct, very good Theo." Mr. Lafayette told me a smile spread across his face, I could tell he was proud of me.
After the school day was over I went straight to the football field Angie was already there. "Hey, Angie! I yelled. She turned around and yelled back "Hey Theo!" She skipped over to me. "You ready to watch the big game, I heard their facing the Washington wasps." She whispered in my ear. "The Britain Seahawks our schools rival, the same school that's beat us every time for the past decade." I asked her, I was shocked I thought our school had stoped playing against them because they always won. "Yup their rivals." Angie said excitedly. Just then Phillip waved to us he was wearing his dark blue football uniform. I waved back this was the first time I had saw him in his uniform, since I'm considered a nerd a never came to a football game. I studied Phillips outfit as his coach talked to him and his teammates he was so hot. "Lets go sit down and why is your face so red?" Theo says as she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the bleachers. I sat down next to her and watched Phillip pump him self up along with his teammates. They seemed to be preparing for the Britain Seahawks to completely destroy them. I looked around the field and noticed a group of cheerleaders flipping around the track, they flipped perfectly in unison. I watched as they threw each other into the air, the girls seemed to fly and twist in the air. That wasn't even the most impressive part, it was how they always landed safely and then hopped down and continued cheering like they haven't just been ten feet in the air a second ago.
