Your POV
The man took off his helmet to look like a much older version of Steve.

"Sir Lancelot, um-"

"He's so handsome." Steve said.

"I-We-"

"Wait! Aren't you Merlin's errand boy?" Lancelot asked.

"Apprentice." Douxie corrected.

"He's like a angel-man." Steve said. He leaned on the crystal and it cracked, then fell to pieces. We all backed up. Jim then stuck his hand out and sat up.

"What? How did I-?"

"Jim! Are you okay?" I asked as I hugged him.

"Troll! TROLL! To arms!" Lancelot shouted and the knights pointed their swords at us.

"Wait! Wait! Chill out, lads." Douxie said as he got up.

"Chill? Out?" Lancelot asked.

"Take a breath, all right? He's one of the good ones."

"There are no good ones." Lancelot shoved Douxie to the ground.

"Monsters are forbidden in Arthur's lands. You'll hang before the king for your insolence."

"Woah, he even talks like an angel. Wait, what's an "insolence"?" Steve asked before getting shoved to the ground by a knight.

"Let go of me! I want my one phone call! This place was cooler flying." Steve said as we got pulled into Old Camelot.

"(Y/n)? What happened? What are we doing at a Renn faire?" Jim asked as he put his hand on the bar. His fingers got burnt by the sunlight and he pulled his hand back in with a grunt.

"Jim!"

"We're prisoners in the, uh, Dark Ages. I'd say, mid 12th century with no way home. It's not an ideal situation." Douxie answered as we stopped.

"Ideal? Jim has a shard of evil magic in his chest!" I said.

"Actually, I'm still hurt, but it feels different somehow." Jim said as Douxie walked up to him and looked at the shard.

"Modrax's miracles, he's right! When we jumped back in time, it must have frozen the corruption in place."

"Uh, seems I missed a lot. Don't you work at the cafe?" Jim asked.

"Part time. And thanks for always tipping, by the way." Douxie nodded.

"He's Merlin's apprentice. It's a long story." I said.

"Open the gate! We have foreigners awaiting judgement for King Arthur." Lancelot said as the gate started coming up.

"Ah, no worries. Camelot's my old turf. Just follow my lead. Be inconspicuous." Douxie said as we walked into the castle. We got to the throne room and one of the guards pushed Jim to the ground with ties around his hands.

"Gunmar's threatening our borders. Double our patrols." The king said as a man walked off.

"Here are the trespassers, my lord." We all bowed.

"A troll? I thought I made it clear, your kind are unwelcome when I banished you all from the realm." The king sat down.

"Don't you mean betrayed?" Morgana said as she walked forward.

"Wow, thanks." PT 2Where stories live. Discover now
