The hunters, though was told to lay low were sit hardheaded enough to locate most of the vampire attacks. It was hard for them to just stay put and listen to the news which went over and over several different attacks in the city.
“How can we stay here and swallow hearing all those juicy bits of disintegrated bodies found here and there?” Yuto asked.
“We’ve been out so many times than necessary.” Kota said lifting his head from a book that he was trying to read.
“How can you be so calm at a time like this, nii-chan?” Yuto asked the oldest Jump. “While Yuya-nii gets jumpier than usual?”
The elder sighed. “That is because this is beyond what I can do.”
“Just let us go out nii-chan.” Ryosuke pleaded. He couldn’t take it anymore, hearing all those news from the antique transistor radio they found in the house.
He even wanted to check on his family to make sure that they are alright. Because of the latest attack, the family of the hunters were taken away from their homes and put on a safe house but he still wanted to be sure.
Seeing the state of Japan, there was no place safe for anybody.
“And risk our name? I don’t think so.”
Kota had been forgiving the other days by letting the hunters go out and fight. But the incident of Yuri got into him. They had been lured into several traps before and even letting Yuri met the vampire lord. These were too much for him.
“Ah, Daiki is calling.” Ryosuke exclaimed and answered the call.
“Eh, nande?” Ryosuke looked at Kota. “Honto ni?” he asked to the phone. “Wakatta.”
“Shizuka-san was taken by three vampires!” he exclaimed.
The others looked at him. Grabbing their weapons, they headed out.
Daiki rushed to them. “They got Shizuka.” He said immediately. Daiki and Shizuka went out to check some of the newly found bodies and gather information outside when they were attacked by vampires.
“There was something wrong with her.” Daiki whispered while going over what happened. “She seemed to be weak for a vampire. She didn’t even see those vampires coming.”
“Huh?” Yuto asked.
“I don’t know. It seems like she is not a vampire at all.” Daiki commented.
“Because she isn’t.” Keito said after awhile. He looked away from the group.
“What do you mean?” Ryosuke asked.
“She lost her powers after the twin-lunar.”
