The night is hot. It is one of those nights in Summer when the wind is blowing hard yet hot. There is a feeling of tingling in the skin that doesn’t really complement the normal body temperature and the wind itself is annoying the exposed hairs of the body.

Jump looked at each other. They were in front of a large Western house in Hokkaido. They couldn’t understand why Yamapi chose them to check on this family.

Kota even overheard Ohno disagreeing on the idea of sending Jump whereas they should already be sent out to other useless missions.

They were told to lie low so they were just staring at the house from the abandoned warehouse across the street. The large gate was a bit open. There was light coming from the windows suggesting that there still was activity going on inside.

Yuya looked away from the binocular that he was using. His eyes were strained staring at the house for a long time.

He sighed. Yuto was fanning his hands in front of his face in a reckless manner when they felt a movement from the house that they were watching. The group snapped into attention.

Kota grabbed the binocular from Yuya and stared at the small opening of the gate.

“Damn!” he cursed as he saw a man drenched in blood tried to open the door. The man was old. His clothes were torn.

"What the?" Yuya cursed beside Kota.

Ryosuke, and Keito were already on their heels and crossing the road towards the staggering man. The others followed.

Keito grabbed the old man and pulled him on a curb in the street that was far from the view of the house. They let the man sat opposite a brick wall. There was fear in his eyes. He was heaving hard. "The young lady..." he started. "Help her." He pleaded them.

"Let's bring him to the safe house." Kei suggested.

"D-don't mind me. Please help the young lady..."

"Young lady?" Yuto, who was hovering above them asked.

"Hai! The young lady. She is in grieve danger..."

"Yuya and I will take care of him." Kei announced. "Help this young lady."

All of them agreed.

"B-be careful. T-there's plenty of them i-inside." The man stammered.

"Them? What do you mean, ojisan?" Kota asked.

"V-vampires..." the old man whispered.

The others looked at each other. Aren't they expecting that already?

Kota looked at the old man and bowed. The others followed suit and ran towards the old mansion.
