Shuichi sighed as he walked to this 'Danganronpa Reunion' or whatever the hell. The game had been over for about 5-6ish years by now and Shuichi had grown apart from all of his friends. He stayed in small contact with kaito but they'd only message maybe once or twice a month. And it'd been 4 years since Shuichi and Kokichi last saw each other, Kokichi and his organization basically went missing, all shuichi got was a 'Im safe don't worry' note, so he just hoped kokichi was alive somewhere living life.
Shuichi sighed as he arrived to the big building that this event was taking place. A letter sent from 'Mukuro Ikusaba' had asked for everyone to dress like their old talents just to have fun or something, and so shuichi had decided to dress somewhat nicer then normal, he'd actually brushed his hair for once which was unusual for him.
Shuichi stepped into the building, he checked in at the 'security' which was just a tall loud man staring people down to recognize them or not. Shuichis anxiety started rising as he looked around the room, there were people from the more popular games scattered around. Shuichi slightly stood to the side hoping to find someone, that's when he heard three very familiar voices. Shuichi turned his head to the side to see Tsumugi, Kaede, and Kokichi running twords him. "Hey guys!" Shuichi said brightly as kaede threw herself into him for a hug. Shuichi hugged back quickly
"Its been so long!" Kaede giggled,
"It really has been," shuichi smiled as the two let go of each other. Shuichi looked at kokichi with a bright smile on his face "So you are alive!" He said pointing at kokichi, he tried to make it loud like that 'ur wrong' bullshit which made tsumugi laugh.
"Nope, sorry I'm actually a ghost." Kokichi joked as he looked up at shuichi. The boys awkwardly hugged "Where did you even go?" He questioned kokichi
"Ohhh, Y'know I went to hell, canada, then back here." Kokichi shrugged
"What??"
Tsumugi smiled as she wrapped her arm around kaedes waist "Its really nice to see you shuichi, I would've thought you'd be too busy for a gathering." She spoke up
"O-Oh yeah um," shuichi thought for a moment to find words that seemed to disappear "U-Um day off-!" Shuichi smiled.
"That sounds totally true." Kokichi rolled his eyes putting his arms behind his back
"H-hey!" Shuichi stuttered.
"Aww, like an old married couple." Kaede """"whispered""""" into tsumugis ear
"I can hear you y'know." Kokichi said sticking his tongue out at kaede.
"I'm not sorry!" Kaede said.
Shuichi slowly started warming up to his old friends, thought he did have a question for kokichi. That being if they were still a thing or not since kokichi basically just vanished.

The reuniting party went decently, it did its job of bringing old friends and rivals together, mixing talent that probably shouldn't go together and creating a bit of chaos and damage. Shuichi just drank soda with Kokichi, Kaede, Tsumugi, Miu, Himiko, and angie the whole time. The small group who weren't causing chaos just caught up on life and shared story's. It made shuichi remember of the first few days of the killing game when no one knew each other and got to listen to peoples storys, except now he knew these people and yet they were still strangers.
The group played small games like uno and truth or dare, later gonta and ryoma had joined their peaceful game group. And as the day slowly got closer to ending most of the chaos had calmed and people were just vibing.
Kokichi was leaning against shuichi basically the whole time they played games.
"And I've won." Ryoma sighed as he set down his last card
"How are you so good at such simple games?" Himiko questioned
"He probably has nothing else to do all day!" Angie smiled
"That seems rude angie." Himiko complained.
Ryoma just shrugged "Shes right though, I have a lot of extra time."
Shuichi looked at the group "Wanna play a different game or maybe see what's going down outside?" He suggested
"Yeah let's play another round!" Miu shouted. The games started again. They continued finding new games and just chatting till it was getting darker out. That's when people started leaving. First it was miu, then Kaede and tsumugi, then Gonta and ryoma. Basically leaving only 4 people to chat. Kokichi had forced shuichi to carry him, so that's what shuichi was doing as he, Angie, and Himiko met up with tenko.
"Wow, you look way better then you did in the game shuichi." Tenko said as she put himiko on her shoulders
"Thank you..?"
"Degenerate male." Kokichi said quietly
"Your lucky that your with shuichi right now." Tenko hissed at kokichi while crossing her arms
"Oh no-" shuichi mumbled.

Shuichi and kokichi waved the girls goodbye and they started walking to their respective cars.
"Hey shuichi!"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we could hang out more later?"
"Um sure! Wanna try to hangout next week or something?"
"Yeah! That'll work for me." Kokichi said, he seemed to be thinking for a second before he kissed shuichis cheek "missed that." He mumbled before running off to his car, leaving shuichi staring at nothing and smiling brightly...

(Another authors thing BC This doesn't relate to the story but um, would it be ok if I make a little self insert for one chapter on my birthday? 👉👈 idk wanted to ask BC that stuff normally seems to be annoying to some people Ive met.
