Daichi's POV

"Did you ever finish that sketch?" He softly giggles and shakes his head. He looks worst but...he said he isn't so I have to believe him. He got more pale, more thin, dark circles around his eyes are growing, but his smile and personality is still there.

"I didn't finish it."

"I highly doubt that. It's been over three months."

"Art takes time. You can't judge me on that." He laughs as I glance over to the sketchbook and smirk. He shakes his head and looks out the window as snowflakes come down. I drag my chair closer to his bedside. I focus on his slow breathing as he looks out the window.

"What's your favorite season of the year?"

"Summer. I don't think I like the cold."

"What comes to snow when it melts?" He continues asking, still looking out the window.

"Uhm...it's obviously water right?" He chuckles at this response and I just wait for the answer.

"Well, scientifically, correct but I was looking for spring...when the snow melts that means spring is going to come." Still looking out the window.

"So I'm guessing spring is your favorite season?" He nods and gets up, pulling his portable oxygen tank out.

"Where you going?" I ask, quickly getting up.

"Let's go for a walk. I'm tired of being stuck up here." He responds, putting a scarf,a sweater, and a beanie on.

"A-Are you sure you can-"

"You sound like my mother. Let's go!" He pulls my arm out of the door and down the hallway. I look back to see the reception lady calling someone.

"S-Suga, are you sure your allowed to go-"

"Nope, but it feels stuffy so just go with it!" He smiles but I'm still worried. He runs until he barely slips on ice, near a bridge. I catch him before he slips.

"Be careful...slow down for a while. It's dangerous..." I hold him by the arms, like two kids playing trust fall.

"No! No! Let's-" He gets into a coughing fit. I panic to find a bench as we sit down.

"That's it. No. Let's go back." He holds his hand up and shakes his head.

"No?" He shakes his head as he stops coughing. We sit in silence and he leans his head on my shoulder. I put my cheek against the top of his head as we continue to stay silent.

"Daichi...?" He softly breaks the silence,"Hm?"

"Where did you get my papers from?"

"From three months ago?" He nods, "my mom works on the other side of the building."

"Children's cancer?" I nod, "she was supposed to drop them off because someone asked her in a rush. Her birthday was already turning out...bad? So, she started to get round up and I needed an excuse to leave. So, I volunteered to take the papers myself to you."

"So you met me on your mother's birthday?" I nod, "not so bad though. She probably just went home and drank something anyway. She was worried when I didn't immediately come back. Because usually I hated coming into the hospital...since I was a kid."

Suga doesn't move or respond. I look over to see him asleep. I smile as I carefully pack him on my back to the hospital. As soon as I walk in with him the nurses and doctors seem to calm down.

I sit there and watch him sleep. Before hearing the door open, but my focus is still on Suga.

"Who are you?" A feminine voice asks as I look her way. The same women I seen the first day I was here.

"I'm a friend of his." She smiles as she stands in front of me.

"Daichi?" I nod and smile in embarrassment.

"Yeah, he can't stop talking about you. Drew a sketch or two." She giggles, it just sounds like Suga but feminine.

"Hey, Daichi?"

"Yes?"

"...Ever since Suga's dad left and he had to quit volleyball...he's been unhappy...so stick around will you? You make him happy." She flashes a smile towards me and I nod.

"I'll be back tomorrow." I smile towards her as she nods.
