The ride home was quiet. Not awkward but a comfortable silence with soft music playing from the radio.

The entire car ride I had my head pressed up against the window, taking in the clear night sky filled with twinkling stars and a bright full moon.

We then came to a stop.

I looked out and saw that I was back home.

"Well, here we are." He breaks the silence once he notices me not budging.

I chew the inside of my cheek.

I noticed my dad's car was parked in the driveway which meant he was home from work.

He didn't bother to go looking for me I see.

I look down at my hands in my lap.

"Are you okay?" He, who still does not have a name, asks me.

I look up at him. His eyes are now soft but they hold so much worry in them.

"I can't go back in there." I mutter under my breath.

"Why? Is something wrong?" He scrunches his eyebrows together.

"I just can't be here right now."

"You could stay at my place, if you want to." He offers.

I shouldn't trust someone I just met an hour ago who I still don't know their name.

He could be dangerous for all I know.

"I'm so sorry to be a bother the whole night, but, if you don't mind...I would really appreciate that." I tell him.

"Not at all. You seem like you've been through so much already."

"Thank you."

He then starts up the engine and pulls into the road.

I just agreed to stay at a strangers house. This is not like me.

When we got to his house we pulled into the big property.

"Your house is so nice." I compliment as I look at the cozy two story house before me.

He turns off the engine, "It's not 'my' house really. Yes, I live here but it's really just my friends house."

I turn in the passenger seat to look at him.

"Before I do anything further, what's your name?" I ask him.

He gives me a soft smile, "It's Bogdan...but please, call me Boggi. It's what everyone calls me."

"You Russian?"

He smiles at me as a signal to agree that I have figured who he is.

"I'm Mia." I introduce myself.

"It's nice to meet you, finally, Mia." He gives me a charming smile.

"You too."

We then get out of the car and I follow him up the path to the front door of the house.

I could hear muffled voices inside which means whoever lives here are still awake.

Boggi opens the door and let's me in first.

I take in the cozy home. It's more of a family home than a couple of boys just living here on their own.

"Follow me." Boggi tells me and we take a left into a big lounge.

"Bog's home!" I hear someone yell.

The person jumps on Boggi's back, play fighting him and I watch in amusement.

He says something in Spanish before noticing me.

"Who's this?" The boy with the blonde hair asks.

"This is Mia. Mia, this is Ivan. This is his house." Boggi introduces us.

I give Ivan a tight smile. I was socially awkward.

"Nice to meet you, Mia. It's not everyday Bog gets to bring a girl home." Ivan teases.

I raise my eyebrows at Boggi.

Boggi's cheeks turn a crimson colour.

"It's not like that..." He then continues to talk to Ivan in Spanish.

Ivan's face turn serious.

"Stay the night. Feel free to leave whenever you want." Ivan tells me.

I give him a thankful smile, "Thank you."

"I'll take the couch, you can take my room." Boggi offers.

"No, don't be silly. I'm sure the couch is just fine." I decline.

"Please, take my room." Boggi pushes.

"Okay, if you insist."

"I do. Now let me show you where you will be staying."

After thanking Ivan once again I follow Boggi upstairs to where his bedroom is.

He opens up a door and let's me in first.

His room was surprisingly very clean. The wood floors shone under the warm lights. His bed draped in a blue blanket that has white stars printed on it.

Cute, I thought.

I noticed he had a balcony outside from his room.

"You have a balcony, that's so cool." I say as I walk over to the closed double doors, looking out into the dark night.

"Yeah, it's my favorite feature of this room. I usually go out there every afternoon and watch the sunset. It's my favorite part of the day."

I turn to face him.

"Thank you again for letting me stay."

"It's no problem at all."

He turns to his closet and grabs a pink hoodie which he hands over to me.

"Here, so you're comfortable."

I take the hoodie from him, "Thank you."

He then grabs a blanket and takes one of the pillows off of his bed and tucks it under his arms.

"I'll see you in the morning then." He tells me.

"Good night."

"Good night."

He leaves and closes the door behind him.

I sit down on the edge of the bed and place my head in my hands.

How did this all happen in one night? I was just relieved I'm not in that house with her.

I pulled my shoes off and and undressed me. The hoodie was soft against my skin and was way to big for me.

I climbed under the covers.

It felt good to lay my head down after an eventful day.

The scent of Boggi comforted me and just before I knew it, I was falling into a deep sleep and dreamt of happy days when my mom was still with me.
