Mia's pov

The bright sun burns my eyes as I try to open them from my deep sleep. I blink my eyes a few times to adjust it to the brightness of the sun that streams into the unfamiliar bedroom.

I slowly sit up on the bed, rolling my neck to loosen up my muscles.

I look around the room and then I remembered. This is Boggi's room.

I ran away from home. Dad must be worried.

I quickly found my phone and tried to put it on, forgetting that it is dead. I found a charger on the floor next to the bed and I quickly plugged it in.

Once my phone was on, text messages and missed calls blew up my phone.

All from my dad.

I quickly clicked on his contact. I put the phone up to my ear and it rang. By the third ring he answers.

"Mia! Where the hell are you?"

"Dad, I'm sorry. My phone died and-"

"Maria told me what happened. Tell me where you are so I can come and get you."

"Dad, listen to me. I'm fine okay, I'm just at a friends house. We had a sleepover that's all."

"Okay...Just let me know when you'll be getting home."

"Dad, are you mad?"

He sighs.

"No, I'm not mad. Just next time, tell me okay."

"Okay. I'll be home soon."

"Okay. I love you."

"Love you."

I hang up. At least he's not mad at me.

I sit on the edge of the bed and look down at the pink hoodie Boggi had let me sleep in.

I really needed to pee so I walked over to the door and quietly opened it, not wanting to awake the quiet house.

I walked down the hallway and found the first door. I wasn't sure if it were the bathroom so I opened it to find out.

It was a bedroom. I peeked my head in. No one was in sight so being my curious self I walked in.

I looked around the big room. It had a king sized bed draped in black sheets, and a big walk in closet.

Like Boggi's room there was a balcony as well.

I found a guitar standing in the corner of the room. So I walked over to it and lightly strum the cords.

"Hello?"

I jumped at the voice behind me.

"I'm sorry, I was looking- Ivan?" I squint my eyes at the person before me.

He looked exactly like Ivan only the person standing in front of me had black hair.

"I'm Emilio, Ivan's twin brother. Who are you?" He squints his blue eyes at me.

"I'm-"

"Mia. There you are. I thought you left." Boggi walks in.

I stood awkwardly in front of two, very, attractive boys now who stared down on me.

I try to pull the hoodie further down since it barely covers my thighs which exposes most of my legs.

Boggi tells Emilio something in Spanish.

It was obvious it was about me as Boggi kept motioning at me.

"Mia, what are you doing in here?" Boggi then asks me.

"I was looking for the bathroom."

"I'll show you were it is." He tells me.

I then look over Emilio who still has his burning glare on me.

I walk past him out of the room, uttering a 'sorry' to Emilio for barging into his room.

Following Boggi to the bathroom he then stops to look at me.

"What is that on your face?" He asks me.

"What? Where?" I touch my cheeks to feel for anything that could be on my face.

"Here." He runs his index finger on my right cheek and it stings for a second.

"Ow." I hiss.

"Are you okay? That looks like it really hurts."

I step into the bathroom and quickly lock the door from the inside.

I take a look at myself in the big mirror.

A bruise had begun to form on my cheek where Maria had slapped me yesterday.

It stung if I touched it.

"Shit..." I mutter.

"Mia. Are you okay?" Boggi asks me from outside of the door.

"I'm fine, really." I reply.

"Okay, I got your clothes if you want to change."

I open up the door a little for him to hand me my clothing.

"Hey, are you sure you don't want me to help you with anything?" He asks me.

"No, really I'm fine."

"Okay...I'll be downstairs when you ready."

I close the door and lock it to get changed.

When I'm done getting dressed I walk downstairs to where Boggi said he would be.

I stand awkwardly where not only Boggi, but Ivan, Emilio and another unfamiliar face sat at the dining table.

"Buenos dias." Ivan says with a bright smile.

"Buenos dias..." I say awkwardly.

Spanish was not my strongest point.

"Mia, this is Uri." Boggi introduces me to the unfamiliar face.

"Hi." I wave at him. He only smiles in return.

"Um, thanks for letting me stay, but I really should be going." I tell them.

"You sure you don't want breakfast? We going to Starbucks." Ivan offers.

"Thank you, but my dad's wondering where I am."

"It's okay, I'll drive you." Boggi says.

He grabs the car keys and we walk to the car.

The car ride home was silent.

All I kept thinking about was what was I going to do once I got home.

"Are you okay?" Boggi breaks the silence.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just tired."

"Here we are." We come to a halt.

"Thank you, Boggi. For everything."

He gives me a soft smile.

"It's only a pleasure. Give me your phone."

I hand him my phone.

"This is my number. No one ever has this number." He punches his number into my phone, "Whenever you need something," he hands me back my phone, "I'm only one call away."

"Sure. Bye." I get out of his car and stand on the sidewalk watching him drive off.
