Ivan's pov
"Boggi this is amazing. How did you find this place?" Emilio asks.
Boggi shrugs as he leads us all down to the lake that's surrounded by trees and a small dock.
"I don't know, the first time I came here I drove around and it just kinda came to me." Boggi explains, "No one ever comes down here."
Aaron and Jimena starts undressing them along with Emilio, revealing their swimming costumes. They then charge towards the lake jumping into it from the dock.
I walk up to Boggi who's watching them with a smile on his face.
"I feel like this is your secret hideout...or was." I assume.
Boggi looks at me.
"How'd you know?"
"I guess, I just know you that well." I shrug as I look back at him.
His eyes are twinkling and I feel my stomach flutter.
I look away from him breaking the tension that was quickly forming between the two of us. I didn't want anything to turn out weird.
"So, why did you bring us here? I feel like this was your kind of alone, safe space."
"Well you guys are my family. Why not?" He shrugs.
I wrap my arm around his shoulders and pull him in to my side in a side hug.
"Ivan! Boggi! Are you getting in or what?" Jimena calls for us.
"I think we should probably go down there." I chuckle.
"Yeah, let's go." Boggi follows after.
After a few minutes of splashing each other around I then decided to float around in the middle of the cool lake.
I look up at the blue sky that had the bright sun shining down on us.
This place was so peaceful, no wonder Boggi comes here to think. It really clears the mind.
"Hey." I hear a voice.
I stand up and come back to reality to see Aaron swimming towards me.
(Imagine them having this conversation in Spanish)
"This place is beautiful isn't it?" Aaron asks me.
"Very, yes." I answer.
"If I could stay here I would."
I float in the water just watching Aaron as he looks at his surroundings, taking in the beauty of the lake and the trees.
"Would you?" Aaron then turns to me.
"Yes, yes I would."
Aaron holds his gaze on me for a little longer and I felt a strange chill run through my body.
"I mean, who wouldn't right? This place is amazing." I break off the staring contest Aaron and I held.
"You're right."
Then we fall back to just gazing at each other. Aaron's brown eyes stare into my blue ones as he swims closer to me.
I feel his hand then softly grazing over my arm in the water making goosebumps rise onto my skin.
I swallow hard as I watch him.
He then inches closer to me, still holding his eyes on me and I start to feel my heart racing in my chest. His fingertips inching then to my waist making me flinch away from him.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-"
"No. It's okay..." I cut Aaron off.
"I really am sorry. I didn't mean to touch you like that." He rambles.
But I wasn't really all mad at him.
"I was just in the moment and-"
"Aaron, it's okay. I just wasn't expecting it, that's all." I say as I place my hand on his shoulder in reassurance.
He then gives me a soft smile which I return.
"You sure it's okay? I don't mean to make anything weird between us right now."
"Yes, yes, no weirdness at all."
"Okay. We should probably go back to the others before they think something's up." Aaron chuckles making me chuckle along with him.
We then swim together towards the dock where everyone else started to get out of the lake and drying themselves off.
"Boggi! Come take a picture with me!" Jimena calls out.
Boggi then agrees to take the picture with her.
"Can you send that to me?" Boggi then asks.
"Sure!"
I then finished drying myself and putting my shirt back on when I look up to catch Aaron looking at me with a small smile.
I return the smile but quickly look away and walk over to the woods where the car is parked.
I liked Aaron, alot. I just don't think I like him in that way. He's cute and all but having that moment with him in the lake just didn't feel all quite right.
I then hear voices nearing me and I see the rest of the crew heading over to the car where I waited for them.
Boggi looks up and when he makes eye contact with me a smile rises onto his lips and I feel my stomach flutter and a smile automatically flashes onto my face.
This, this felt right.
