I jumped up out of bed put my denim shorts and black crop top on. It was always warm recently but I could tell today was going to be a scorcher. I put a little mascara and clear lip gloss on.
When I entered the living room I could see Mateo sat at the table with Jason and Georgie. He was eating cereal when he spotted me he winked.
"Morning people." I smiled.
They all said morning...
I made myself some toast and a cuppa sitting down at the table with them.
Mateo's hand reached for my mug.. "Cheers stink." A smirk played on his sexy lips.
"Mateo! Make your own." I warned.
He slurped some of my tea down. The cheeky get!! I couldn't help but grin at him trying to get a rise out of me because he succeeds nearly every single time.
"Too late." He beamed.
He laughed and so did everyone else at the table.
I rolled my eyes getting up to make another. Then saw Jason swipe my toast.
"What the hell is this!? Gang up on Lacey day."
They were laughing. Georgie was getting up from her seat slapping them both on head.
"Thanks Georgie." I smiled.I finally managed to eat some toast and have some tea before I left for my lessons. I had maths first today. My teacher had said he could see the improvements in my work and encouraged me to continue whatever I was doing. I was more than happy to continue getting Mateo's help for sure. Although I wanted to be doing a lot more with him. I headed to my midwifery course.
I'd got there before Hayley for a change.
She came in looking tired.
"You ok?" I asked.
"Yeah just a little tired. Lucy was on the phone late last night moaning about a man. Well your roommate actually." She half smiled.
My stomach nearly fell out.
"Why?" I tried to say as casual as possible.
"Oh apparently he's been ignoring her. She said she's had enough and is going to drastic measures to get his attention this weekend. Pulling out all stops apparently." She rolled her eyes.
"Maybe he's just not into her?" I said simply.
"Maybe. But she wants him. Lucy doesn't take lightly to being told no." She chuckled.
"Hmm. Well good luck to her then."The lesson begun and I couldn't help thinking what plan she was cooking up. After lesson she said she was meeting Lucy for some lunch and asked if I wanted to join. I said yes but I think it was more to try figure out Lucy's plan as much as I wanted to get back and see if Mateo was home. We walked till we were finally approaching a little restaurant...
Only Mateo was stood outside it in his loose black vest top that dipped low on his sides showing off his tattoos. I could also see his nipple piercing from the side view. It still amazes me how attracted to him I am. I'd of never thought I'd be attracted to someone with tattoos and piercings.
He was stood talking to Lucy of course but he was with a guy I'd not seen before.
He hadn't clocked me until I tugged his vest.
"Shift weirdo." I grinned.
His face lit up then stuck his tongue out shoving me gently. Lucy told Mateo to stay put and gave us instructions not to let him leave as she went to check how busy it was inside.
I heard his friend ask quietly who I was. It was his reply that made my body tingle for him.
"That little beaut is my roommate Lacey. I think she's taken tho bro."
He thought I was a little beaut!!!! And warned him off telling him I was taken. He did care, this was proof surely he wanted me too.Lucy persuaded him and his friend to stay for lunch. I ordered a lasagne and garlic bread. Mateo ordered spaghetti bolognese. I hadn't cared to pay attention to what anyone else got. Although when I realised Lucy and Hayley only had a salad I laughed to myself. I felt like a right greedy cow.
Mateo's friend kept engaging in conversation with me, while Lucy hounded Teo.
He kept glancing across at me.
"Yeah I was out other night but not for long. My mate had got so shit faced. I had to take them home. Right pain in arse they were." Mateo said to Lucy.
I knew full well he was talking about me but obviously everyone else was totally oblivious. I kicked him in leg. He didn't even flinch he probably expected it to be honest. He just grinned.
"Last time I go out with them." He rolled his eyes.
The dickhead. The waitress had her eyes only on Mateo as she took our plates away. He winked at her. So I gently kicked him again. I knew he was trying to make me jealous. He gets his kicks on getting a rise out of me.
"Puddings anyone?" The waitress asked.
The girls said no making me feel like I should say no too, I'd look like a full on greedy cow if I said yes.
"Yeah I'll have the hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Greedy over there will have one." Mateo said.
I looked around realising he meant me. Why not!
"I'll have the treacle sponge with custard please." I said quietly.
"I'll have the same." Teo's mate said in a deep tone.Everyone was in full swing talking when desserts came. It looked so scrummy!! I took a scoop on my spoon and placed it into my mouth.
"Hmmm..." I closed my eyes savouring the taste.
When I opened my eyes I realised everyone was looking at me.
"Shit sorry. It's just so good." I blushed.
A slow sexy smile spread across Mateo's face.
"Don't be sorry. Hearing that sound come from your mouth sounds good." His friend winked.
I nearly choked Hayley started patting and rubbing my back. I dabbed my mouth blushing.
I glanced across the table seeing the amusement in Teo's blue eyes biting his lip probably trying not to laugh.
"So you still coming to the music festival next weekend Teo?" Lucy asked.
I looked between them both. I didn't know anything about it.
"I'm not sure maybe. Depends." He answered.
"Depends on what? Anything I can do to persuade you." She said flirtatiously.
"Depends on who is going and maybe you could...." He shrugged casually.
Was he seriously flirting back with her. It didn't feel like he was winding me up it felt genuine. I got up excusing myself. I went to the till to pay for my food.
"Bye guys!" I quickly waved at them.
It was the most abrupt way to leave but I was in no way gonna sit there and listen to that.
