Avoid

Chapter 12

    Everyone was in the kitchen the sound of the kettle woke me up. Shit! I had dribble down my chin.    
   "Morning Lacey.." Jason said.
I rubbed my eyes.. "Morning all."
    "You know you snore don't you? And dribble?" Mateo laughed.
   I scowled at him. "I don't snore."
He and Jason laughed more. Men!
   "Dream of anything nice?" Mateo asked.
   I squinted trying to read him, yes of you Mr Moody kissing my whole body. He couldn't know that though!
  "No, not at all." I said lying.
    He had a dangerous grin on his face. He was a beautiful specimen. Shame about the things that come out of his smart arse mouth.

   "You gonna be a rebel and come out on a school night to a club?" Jason teased.
    "Your going to a club? On a school night?" I repeated shocked.
Well they all cracked out laughing, I could feel my cheeks heating up.
    "Come on Lacey it will be fun!!" Lisa beamed.
   "She won't come Lisa, she doesn't know how to live a little." Mateo said in his gruff voice.
     Right that's it I'll show him!! He thinks he knows me, he thinks I'm boring and that I'm no fun.  Well we shall see.
    "Actually, yeah I think I will." Giving Mateo an in your face look.
   He just found it amusing though. The bastard!!

     Classes went real quick. Maths was really getting to me but I don't have time to think about that. Lisa and Georgie was meeting me to go shopping for a dress. I was a little surprised at what short dresses they were trying on, they assured me this is what everyone wears to clubs.
    Lisa decided on a silky purple dress. Georgie had picked a black and white patterned strapless dress.
I could tell they were getting fed up of me trying on dresses.
     "This!! You need to try this on." Lisa shoved a silver dress in my face.
   Normally I'd say silver looks a little tacky but it actually looked good quality.
    "Okay."

    I went in the changing rooms and slipped on the dress. The front looked great. The back of the dress dipped really really low though right to the bottom of my back just above my bum. I stepped out nervously.
    "Wow Lacey. Your a knockout!" Lisa beamed.
  "Yes god Lacey, you look hot!" Georgie grinned.
  I blushed "The backs really low."
I turned to show them.
     "It shows off your curves! Honestly this is thee dress." Lisa clapped her hands.
   I nodded, we didn't have long till we went out anyway. It will have to do! I'll brave it.

    We got ready in Lisa's room I decided to tie my hair up. I felt naked! Showing so much skin off. God I wonder what the others will think. I don't want them to think I'm a slag.
    I didn't want to overkill so I'd just put some lashes on and a dark mauve lipstick. I slipped my silver heels on and took a deep breath.
        I can do this! Me and Lisa had a couple of shots to boost my confidence. The others had already set off. Jason with his girlfriend and Georgie and her boyfriend got a taxi together. Mateo I heard had gone with Danny, Tom and a few other lads who I didn't know.

    It was 11pm me and Lisa was waiting for our taxi. When we started to dance trying to get into the mood, the taxi pulled up. We sang to the driver I'm sure he appreciated this by his chuckles. Soon enough he pulled over and we were outside this club that had neon orange and blue lights.
My nerves started to get to me as we waited to get in.
      Lisa squeezed my hand "I got you girl."
"Thanks your a good mate Lisa."
She smiled and hugged me.
"I'll text Georgie to tell her we are here."
