Chapter 42

    I reached my hands out feeling around but I could only feel my bed sheets. He didn't sleep with me last night. I was a little gutted if I'm being truthful.
    I got up then put my jeans and vest top on. I really didn't have the energy to make an effort. I sloped into the kitchen to find a man standing topless, it was the random guy who'd asked me to make him a sandwich. He raked his eyes over me making me feel uncomfortable.

     I started to make a coffee being the polite person I am I asked if he wanted one and he said yes, I was secretly hoping he would say no. Teach me for asking. He was leaning back against the draw I needed.      
"Excuse me I just need to get a spoon." I said.
    He shuffled to the side to let me get one. I turned back round to continue making our coffee. I could feel him quite close to me.
   "Ermm. Do you mind just moving a little please?" I asked politely.
"Why gorgeous worried your going to be tempted?"
     "No, I aren't even interested no offence." I told him truthfully.
   "Ohh I can make you interested if you give me a chance." He licked his lips.
  Now I was backing up but he was getting closer to me..
    "Oii back off stop crowding her!" Teo's voice called out.
   I looked over to find Jason and Teo stood glaring at him. I was grateful they were here to be honest.
"Ok man, chill out." He rolled his eyes.
    "Don't tell me to chill out. Just leave her alone dickhead." He hardened his glare at him.
    They walked over getting closer. Jason put his arm around my shoulder checking and asking if I was ok.
"I'm just gonna get some breakfast out instead." I grabbed my bag and walked out.

   I got a sausage butty while I walked to my class. I just happened to be walking behind Georgie and Lucy, I was about to shout them until I heard Mateo's name in their conversation.
      "Yeah Chloe is going to be there. I'm proper pissed. She's like stunning! I don't care about the others but if anyone's gonna have Mateo's attention it's definitely her, you know they have history?"
    "Yeah I've heard stuff. Don't worry though Joe's going to be there and he's looking hotter than ever!!!!"
   "Yeah he's filth." They giggled.

     I stopped as I'd reached my class. I couldn't help wonder who was Chloe and what history did she have with Mateo. I tried to shove the thoughts from my head as I needed to focus on my maths lesson. My midwifery class wasn't much better I'd let my mind run wild with possibilities of who she was. I came out of class in a daze when Lisa suddenly grabbed my arm pulling me along with her.
  "You fancy getting some lunch together?" She smiled.
"Yeah sure girl." I grinned back at her.
     We sat down in a cool trendy restaurant. Lisa looked like she had a million things going through her mind.
"What's wrong Lisa? Talk to me."
"I'm that obvious?" She gave a tight smile.
I nodded.
     "Well I've been seeing Danny on and off for the last two weeks but I don't actually know where I stand. I really like him and don't want to be just a girl he has sex with when he feels like it." She shrugged.
    "I thought as much Lisa. I don't think that's true I've even noticed him looking at you. He's got it bad! Yeah he's cheeky with the ladies but he's actually one of the the really good one's."
   "Really you think so?"
     "Oh, yeah. That night with the ice cubes, he was just as pissed as Teo was. You should just ask him out right then at least you have your answer."
     "Yeah I just don't want to embarrass myself you know." Lisa said quietly.
   "Babe it would be his loss if he said no, but honestly I don't think he would. He did actually tell me that once he had a crush on you but that you were out of his league and had a boyfriend at the time." I said.
   "Yeah your right. Seriously he said that? I think I know when he means, it was when I first arrived here." Lisa looked in thought.
I nodded "Go for it. Sometimes you have to go after what you want otherwise you'll never get it."

    She had texted him to meet her in a hour and was gonna ask him. I was walking home and felt like surprising Mateo. I called into the perfect shop and came out with the biggest grin on my face.
   When I got home I opened the bag ...I had got some stockings, a suspender, thongs and a bra. All matching! I fully went all out buying the hottest black lingerie I could find. On top of my sexy underwear, I put on a black skirt and lilac button up top.
   I heard a herd full of people come into our apartment. Oh my god. You've got to be kidding me. Seriously can't people have a night off for once. The party was clearly at ours tonight, they didn't waste time putting the music on full blast 'Heaven on my mind' boomed out.
      I sighed this wasn't going to stop my plan. I strolled into the living room. There were so many people I looked around searching the room to see if Mateo was here. I was just about to give up when I saw him walk through the door running his hand through his gorgeous jet black hair. Looking stupid hot. He had blue jeans on and a short sleeved navy shirt showing his muscles off as they flexed.
    "Hey sexy lady what's your name?" A man I'd never seen before asked while he stood towering over me.
   "Erm Lacey?" I said feeling nervous.
    My eyes flicked back to Mateo. He had a beer in his hand talking to a guy.
  "Lacey gorgeous name, for a gorgeous girl."
"Thanks." I simply said.
     My attention was too focussed on Mateo. His eyes finally spotted me and winked. My legs felt weak. So I walked over to the sofa to sit with my glass of wine.
   When I glanced back over to Mateo a leggy blonde was stood talking to him, I could tell she was flirting with him.
   I watched his body language but he wasn't giving her any encouragement.
