Avoid

Chapter 6

I got up early to make sure I had everything ready for uni. I was making a coffee, when Jason walked in looking rough. "Coffee?" I offer.
   "Yes please Lacey. Do you have any paracetamol? My heads pounding." He asked in a croaky voice.
I grabbed my bag handing him a paracetamol and made him a coffee.
"Thanks Lacey your the best!" Off he sloped back to his pit.
Mateo walked into the living room not looking at me once heading for the door to leave, he slammed the door behind him. What's wrong with him now.

My day went well considering I had Maths too. I wanted to get back to the dorm to get some more studying done. I was keeping on top of my work, apart from maths which sucked.

I was standing in the kitchen Lisa had gone out with her friends, Jason was with his girlfriend in his bedroom. Georgie was on her way out to meet hers but before she did she asked "You coming to the party then this weekend?"
"Umm.. I don't know yet."  I shrugged.
"Come on you'll have a laugh..."
Just then Mateo came out his room sniffing looking about.. "Is that cookies I can smell?"
I nodded.
"Oh if your making them, they'll be shit then."
"Get lost Mateo, no one said you could have one anyway."
He walked back to his room waving his hand.

"Say you'll come pretty pleaseeee?" She pleaded.
"Maybeeeee.."
She nodded and left.

Ahh the chocolate chip cookies smelt good.
I'd just taken them out and placed them on a wire rack to cool, while I was making a cuppa when I heard..     
  "Fuck." Mateo had dropped his phone on the floor on the way out of the door.
I rolled my eyes then looked down at the cookies, one was missing. My jaw dropped open.
"Have you just stolen a cookie?" I gaped at him.
   He turned his cheeks looking full like a hamster, with his hand behind his back. He was trying not to laugh I could tell. The bastard.
I walked over to him give him an eyebrow and peered round him, there it was in his hand half a cookie.
"Yes you have!" I gasped.
   He laughed as I tried to grab the rest of the cookie holding it above his head. Knowing full well I couldn't reach whilst I tried to jump up for it. Then shoved the rest in his mouth looking amused and pleased with himself.
I huffed "I hope it tastes like shit, like you said my baking would do."
He chuckled and walked out the door.
That man was driving me mad! Utterly mad!

I was sat on the sofa reading, Lisa and Jason were still in their rooms. Georgie was in the kitchen area. When you could hear a lot of noise before they even opened the door. Mateo came in with a few lads and a couple of girls. Georgie rolled her eyes.
A guy with a nose piercing and blonde wavy hair swept back, caught my attention he was pretty cute! He had a lovely smile, he sat down on the sofa closest to where I was in the chair. Then another guy with brown hair sat down next to him staring at me.
   "What you reading pretty little thing? Something naughty?" He winked.
My cheeks blushed.
"I could show you a few naughty things."
  "Tom shut up your making her feel uncomfortable!" The blonde guy said.
"I'm Danny." He smiled.
"Hii.. I'm Lacey." I said nervously with a small smile.

"Will you be coming to the house party tomorrow night?"
"Yeah this one stinks, she doesn't go out with friends. So she definitely won't go to a house party." Mateo answered for me before I could even get a word in.
I turned glaring at him, "Actually I'm still thinking about it."
"You should come." Danny said with a twinkle in his eye.
"I'll see.."

    Mateo sat down and this time a red head sat down on his lap and was whispering in his ear, he chuckled. I felt a little jealous which shocked me. He's a asshole and yet here I am wishing I was sat on his lap, am I completely losing my mind I must be!!
The redhead grabbed his hand pulling him, he followed. I could feel my cheeks heating up, I knew why she was pulling him down the corridor she wanted some privacy for a reason.
I bit my lip,
"I'd like to bite that lip.." Tom winked.
It made Mateo turn his head around to look at me whilst she was still pulling him along.
"I don't doubt it." I answered simply.

I got up taking my book with me.
"Do you want company?" Tom said.
"Seriously Tom shut up and leave her alone mate." Danny said.
"Just because you want to fuck her. Hi I'm Danny I want to get in your f—"
He glared at him, then looked to me mouthing sorry.
I smiled at him "Goodnight.."

I was in bed and got woken up by shuffling and shouting??..
"Seriously man I'm warning ya." Mateo's voice startled me.
It sounded like it was right outside my door.
I had my short pyjamas on and low cut vest top when I'd opened my door.
"She's hot though!" Tom said just as aggressively. Mateo smacked him hard against his jaw.
I shuddered..
"Mateo stop!!" Putting my hands up to him.
  Jason flew out his door in his boxers.. "What's going on??"
"Nothing he's leaving." Mateo says with certainty.
Tom was staring at my chest, I tried to pull it up to cover my cleavage. I suddenly felt really exposed.
"We shall see Teo." Tom said as he turned to leave.

I gulped looking up at Mateo's tall form, "Are you ok?"
His jaw was clenched and he had a murderous glare upon his face, he then looked down at me for a several seconds before he stalked off to his room and slammed the door.
"You look a little shook up. Try not to worry Lacey. Teo sometimes does get into fights." Jason says rubbing the side of my arms.
I nodded and went back into my room wondering what the hell just happened with them both.
