Chapter 24

  "Babbbbyyy wakey wakey..." Matt cooed in my ear.
"Noooo...sleep!" I groaned, pulling the pillow over my head.
"Nooo, it's time to wake up, its ten in the morning." Matt started trailing kisses down my neck and along my shoulder.
"It's my birthday." I huffed, lifting the pillow off my head, pouting at Matt. I'd really missed waking up to Matt in the mornings, it had been months since we had so I really didn't want to get up, you know, enjoy the moment.
"Yes, I know that and I have your whole day planned, so get your sexy butt out of bed."
"What do you mean you have my whole day planned?" I raised an eye brow.
"Well, first things first, we need to go to your new house because all your furniture should be there by now. Soooo we got to get that sorted and the rest is a surprise." He placed a sweet kiss on my cheek.
Oh yeah, I'd almost completely forgotten about yesterday's events, and I was now living with Kayla, Harry and Kellin. "Butttt..."
"No but's get up, go shower or I'll get Jack and Kellin to come in here and get you out of bed. And trust me, they won't be so nice." He winked.
"Alright, alright, but I want a birthday cuddle first."
Matt rolled his eyes. "Alright, five minutes!"
"Yay!" I grinned, as Matt pulled me into his arms, today was going to be a good day.

  My room was finally finished, my bed had been put it, with my desk, bedside table and drawers. I didn't need to worry about my wardrobe as this room had one built in, which was pretty cool. It was similar to my old room, although, I was going to miss not having an en suit, I'd have to share a bathroom with Kellin. I'd never had to share a bathroom before, and I knew Kellin took forever with his hair in the morning, and so did I, so it should be interesting. But I was happy, I had the freedom I wanted, and I could see Matt any time I wanted, and I was living with my best friend and two people who accepted us the way we are, so I couldn't complain. It was going to take a little adjusting, but I already felt more at home here then I did back with my parents, how messed up was that?
"Lunch is ready!" Kayla called up the stairs.
"Come on, let's go eat and we can put the last box of stuff away." Matt smiled taking my hand and lead me downstairs.
My mouth dropped open to see the house had been decorated with 'happy sixteenth birthday' decorations every where. The coffee table was covered in snack foods like little sandwiches, mini sausages, sausage rolls, mini pizza's and popcorn. The popcorn confused me though, bit of a strange lunch food.
"Happy birthday." My mum came up to me and hugged me.
"Uh, mum, you're here?" I looked at her confused.
"Yes of course! It's your birthday! You may be a big boy now but I'm still your mother."
"Thanks mum." I smiled sweetly at her, I noticed my dad wasn't here, my heart sank a little, but I shouldn't have been that surprised.
"Ok first on the birthday to do list is..." Kayla started and pulled out a copy of my favorite film, The Fifth Element behind her back with a grin.
"Oh my god! I love that film!" I beamed.
"We know." Jack chuckled.
"But before we start the film...presents!" Kellin chirped happily, handing me a bag.
"Y-you didn't have too..." I'd never really gotten gifts before, sure mum and dad would get me something, like my guitar was a present for my eleventh birthday, my xbox was for my thirteenth. But aside that, and the money my nan sent me, that was it.
"Yes we did, now open!" Kellin smiled. I sat myself down on the couch and pulled out three presents from the bag. "They're from me and Vic by the way."
"Oh my god! They're...they're freaking awesome dude thank you!" I got up and hugged Kellin. He'd gotten me Ash Ketchums original hat, a stuffed Pikachu plush and a Pokeball with Bulbasaur inside.
"You're welcome, I remember when you said that you loved Pokemon, and I challenged you to name all orginal one hundred and fifty, and, well you did it, so, I hear by dub you..." Kellin picked up the hat and put it on my head. "The very best, that no one ever was."
"Yeah!!! I'm a pokemon master! Suck on that Ash Ketchum!" I grinned.
"You're such a dork." Matt laughed. "But an adorable one."
"Hey, don't be jealous Matt, not everyone can be as awesome as me." I shrugged. "Ok, I'm happy now, I'm going to go hide in my room all day and play Pokemon..."
"Ooooohhh no you don't!" Kayla laughed handing me another present. "You still got more presents to open, this is from me and Harry."
Kayla and Harry had gotten me a couple of new games on the xbox and Jack had gotten me comic books. I loved how much of a nerd they new I was, gaming, comics, Pokemon...the three things aside music that I loved...and Matt of course, but that was a given.
"Mine next!" Matt clapped excited. "It's, uh, kinda a joint present from all of us. Everyone helped out."
"But it's mostly from Matt, he put the most in for it." Jack shrugged.
I raised an eye brow. "What is it?"
"Here it is..." Matt pulled out a black guitar shaped case from behind the sofa and my mouth dropped open. "It's not the best, but it's pretty nice, and sounds good."
I opened the case and inside was a Yamaha F310 acoustic, I was in amazement, I only had my beaten and battered electric Fender. "It's-I-I-"
"You like it?" Matt asked, looking a little worried.
"No." I shook my head. "I love it! Thank you!" I flung my arms around Matt and locked my lips on his.
Matt chuckled against my lips. "I'm glad you like it."
"Seriously, thank you, everyone, the guitar...I love it, and the rest of the presents, thank you."
"Don't mention it man." Kellin patted my shoulder.
"Ok, last one..." My mum smiled, taking my hand and pulled me to the front door. "Ready?"
"Yeah..." I looked at her confused, she opened the front door and that just left me more confused, until she handed me the key...to her car. "Every grown man needs a car, you won't need to worry about paying anything until your eighteen, as me and your father have it covered until then. But, Happy birthday baby boy."
"M-Mum...b-but i-it's y-your..."
"Oh don't worry about that, I'm getting a new car anyway, so don't worry about that. You'll be taking drivers ed lessons after school's on Thursdays, starting soon as you've sorted your licence out. I got the forms in my bag so you can get doing them later."
"M-mum...t-this is amazing...thank you!" I hugged her tight.
"You're welcome love. You're a grown man now, can't have Kayla, Matt or Jack driving you around everywhere all the time now can we."
I wiped a small tear away from my eye, it was safe to say I was well and truly overwhelmed by everything. Moving out, getting Matt back, now all of this, I couldn't even put the feelings into words.
Awww is Alex happy? Bahahaha, you may be for now, but just you wait. I shook the voices off, I didn't want to deal with them right now and they weren't going to ruin this for me. You can ignore us for now, but you can't hide forever.
"Right, well, shall we get the film started then?" Harry smiled.
"Yeah." I nodded and we all sat down to enjoy the film.
