Ashlyn's POV

Everybody turned and looked at me as we entered, I smiled as best as I could trying to work through the nervous as they all smiled at me.

"Guys this is Ashlyn...Jake's girlfriend," I slightly waved as they laughed realizing I was nervous. "Ashlyn this is David my oldest son and this is Andy his beautiful wife. This is Maya their daughter and then this is Marcus and his girlfriend Jamie and then this is Nate the youngest and my husband David Sr."

"Hi," I waved again and laughed slightly but then felt a hand on the small of my back and I already knew it was Jake.

"So did she change the subject," he looked at me as I laughed.

"No were still talking about you...so when did you stop watching Barney," his eyes widened as he looked at his mom.

"That's not funny," I laughed as everyone else did.

"I was kidding she didn't tell me anything but it's good to know you watched Barney."

"Ash he didn't just watch Barney he had a glow in the dark t-shirt and everything," Jamie said laughing as Jake groaned and looked at the ceiling.

"A normal family would have been nice," he said as I laughed with everyone else. "So long time no see family."

"Nice way to dodge the Barney question," he glared at me as I giggled and then looked at everyone else.

"Jake I like her already," Nate said as he hugged me making me laugh as Jake shook his head.

"So tell us everything...how'd you meet, first date, first kiss everything..." Jamie said leaning forward, as I grew nervous again. Jake grabbed my hand and led me to the empty couch as we sat down and he placed his arm on the back of the couch.

"J why do you have to know everything," she giggled and then looked at Marcus.

"Because it's our job as the family and friends to bug you and to make the girlfriend uncomfortable until she realizes that were just kidding around and are testing to see if she's good enough for you." Marcus said as he wrapped his arms around Jamie and kissed her cheek.

"She's already passed the test in my book," Nate said raising his hand making us all laugh. Now comes the time for the story that Jake and I made up...let's see if this works.

"Well I was modeling for one of Jake's photo shoots and we just got to talking and now here we are," they all looked at me as though I was crazy.

"So you were a model...I thought you set a rule that you wouldn't date anyone you worked with," Kevin said and then I looked at Jake with my arms crossed raising both my eyebrows.

"I did say that...but I couldn't turn her down if you haven't noticed David...she's gorgeous," I blushed as Joe laughed slightly and everyone else awed.

"So where'd you go on your first date then," I looked at Jake...we hadn't actually discussed that.

"Ummm...I took her to...that fancy restaurant," he started snapping his fingers like he was trying to think about it. "Its on 5th avenue...I can't remember the name now."

"Starlight restaurant," I said as he pointed at me and smiled.

"Yes... thank you, that would of bugged me for awhile." I giggled and shook my head now looking at everyone.

"That must have been one hell of a date," Andy said making everyone laugh.

We talked for a good two hours as I got to know everybody and tell lots of lies with Jake but that was all part of the game, I lifted the comforter up and got into the bed as I sighed and smiled now burying my head into the pillow. Jake walked in a few minutes later and walked around trying to be quiet...I was guessing he thought I was asleep. He grabbed his pillow off the bed and then walked to the end of the bed where I felt him grab the blanket that spread against the bottom of the bed to give our feet more warmth.

"Don't even think about it," I said and then looked at him. He jumped a little and glared at me as I giggled.

"That's not funny, you just scared the shit out of me." I laughed and sat up as he took in a deep breath then looked at me.

"Don't be stupid Jake," I moved the covers on the other side of the bed letting him know he could share the bed with me and then I laid back down.

"Are you sure," I looked over at him and nodded my head.

"Your not going to hurt me Jake and this is a really big bed, we could fit your whole family even Elvis and still have extra room." He laughed and then set his pillow down and climbed into bed, I faced the wall as he turned his back to me now facing the doors to the balcony. "You know if we didn't want to share a room...you could of told your parent's I was pure," I heard a slight chuckle as I turned and looked at his back. "That wasn't a joke you know," he turned to me.

"You're a virgin," he acted as though he was surprised.

"Dude I've been living on the streets for four years, I rarely showered and I looked like crap...who would want to sleep with me."

"Sorry to tell you the truth I keep forgetting, I look at you and can't tell that you use to live on the streets...it still really bugs me of what you had to go through."

"It happens," I smiled at him then turned over and faced the wall again now slowly drifting off to sleep. The next morning my eyes slowly fluttered open and took in the bright sun shinning through the window, I groaned and rolled over to see Jake still asleep. He was laying on his stomach with his face turned towards me, his mouth was open slightly as he breathed in and out he had his arms underneath his pillow as his head rested on it. I giggled as quietly as I could and then got out of the bed and tiptoed my way to the bathroom now taking a shower and getting ready for the day. By the time I was finished and dressed Jake was still passed out in the bed, I walked to the door and left the room then slowly closed the door behind me making sure to turn the knob and pull so it wouldn't click shut.

"Whatcha doing," I jumped and turned around to face Marcus as he laughed slightly.

"I didn't want to wake Joe so I was being quiet...you need to make noise before you sneak up on people." I walked with Marcus down the hall and down the stairs as he continued to laugh.

"But then it wouldn't be any fun now would it," I laughed and nodded my head.

"Very true," he laughed as we walked into the kitchen now meeting up with his parents and Andy.

"Good morning...so how'd you sleep Ash," I looked at Mrs. Andrews and smiled.

"Very well actually until the sun rose anyways," I giggled as she smiled.

"That's good then...soooo you love Jake huh," she asked as I froze up but didn't let her see my reaction. I needed to find the strength to say yes before she caught on that I took a pause to think about it.
