Jake's POV
"You told him to get rid of Ashlyn...that she doesn't fit into this family," my mom said now looking at my dad as he stayed leaned against the wall.
"Wait...so in the hospital that actually hurt you to say goodbye to Ashlyn," I glared at Marcus and nodded my head.
"Of course it did...I never wanted to say goodbye to her but I was worried about dad," I sighed and looked over at my mom as she glared at my dad.
"How could you be so stressed about this...you've met her and we welcomed her into this family after knowing who she was. You know she's sweet and very different from her parents and this is what you did...how could you do that...even I could see through there lies that they love each other and this is what you do." My dad looked at me then at my mom as I shook my head, "when you get better your going to go over to that girl's house and tell her everything."
"WHAT...no...she's a Collin has anyone lost track of that."
"She's different," my mom added but Maya walked back into the kitchen.
"Actually she's famous again," she showed us the magazine as I took it from her and looked at it.
"Six days Jake...six days you guys have been apart and she's already getting back on top." My dad said as I shook my head.
"Basically it says that she's taken over her moms old job and she's like the head person of the organization...along with that she's got so much going for her including a new house and everything." I looked at Maya as she shook her head, "it says that she attended an event with a man on Saturday...well yesterday I guess and it said they seemed cozy...not sure what that means but that's what it says."
"It means that she lied and didn't actually feel anything," I glared at my dad along with everyone else. "What it's true...she's already going out with someone else and it hasn't even been a week."
"Shut up," everyone looked at me now. "I've never done anything to hurt this family...maybe I lied at Christmas but I have never ever done anything to disgrace this family and give us a bad name. But dad...I hate you right now...I hate that you made me do that to her...and I hate feeling this way," I grabbed my jacket and walked around them leaving them in the house as I walked outside and took in a deep breath letting the cold air hit me as I walked down the street. My life was so simple and now...well now everything had been flipped upside down and all I wanted to do was talk to Ashlyn about it...but I couldn't.
I sighed and walked into my house looking around feeling alone for the first time in a month, I really loved having Ashlyn here and being able to see her smile. I sighed and walked to the kitchen opening the fridge to find something to eat but that would work cause as soon as I saw the carton of eggs all I could think about was the many omelets I made for Ashlyn for breakfast. I sighed and closed the fridge and walked off upstairs looking in my room there sitting on my bed was an empty bag and a pile of letters...I forgot that I hadn't really noticed anything in here cause I ran in here to get dressed quickly so I could go see my father. I sighed and walked down the hall to Ashlyn's room finding the unmade bed and our clothes still scattered around the room, I sighed and picked up the necklace she wore that I told her was hers but she still didn't listen. I sighed and laid down on the bed looking up at the ceiling feeling depressed...all I wanted was to rewind everything the happened and just told my dad that I would take care of it but not really...I know he hates the Collins but Ashlyn's different she's sweet, smart, funny, beautiful and I just wanted to hold her in my arms again. I sighed and dug through my pockets getting my vibrating phone and answering it.
"Hello," I said not really in the mood to talk to anyone.
"Jake good I've been trying to get you for forever...it's Miley Cyrus and I need your help, you know how for the movie premier last year you took all the shots for us and I used them for my magazine and then sold some to others and papers."
"Yes I remember Miley it wasn't that long ago," I said as I stayed laying down and continued to look at the ceiling.
"Well I was wondering if you could be an angel and do it again for me...the movie premier is this Friday and I need a man of your talent." I sighed and ran my hand down my face.
"Yeah I guess so...I'm free so that should be alright."
"Awesome...I'll send you the address through a text closer to he day but I owe you one buddy," she fake kissed the phone and then hung up as I sighed and through my arms back and just stayed where I was unable to move. How could I after everything I'd done and it wasn't like I could just go up to her and apologize sorry just wasn't enough and I couldn't say it by giving her another hot chocolate although that has worked before but no I couldn't do that. I just couldn't find a way out of this one...somehow I wish I could go back and just of gone through with going home with no girlfriend maybe things would have been easier maybe my heart wouldn't be broken right now. Maybe just maybe I would have been fine...then again this whole thing started for a reason and it wasn't just because I needed a fake girlfriend.
Flashback to a month and a bit ago
"Yes those are the photo's I selected for the magazine," I said talking to the executive writer to seventeen magazine. "Those are the finale edited pictures along with the proof and everything and you can select whatever you want."
"Thank you there amazing," my phone started beeping letting me know I had another call coming through.
"Well I gotta go thank you for selecting me I had an amazing time."
"Yes we'll definitely be keeping your card," I smiled and then said a final goodbye before answering the phone again.
"Hello," I said walking down the street taking the last sip of my coffee and throwing it out.
"Jacob my son...he exists," I laughed at my mom and shook my head.
"Sorry I've been pretty busy with everything that's going around...so what's up with my beautiful mother?"
"Aww and I didn't even have to ask you to call me that," I chuckled as she laughed. "Alright well Christmas is in a few weeks and I was wondering if you were still coming...and maybe bringing that special girl of yours." I sighed and stopped walking forgetting the fact that I promised to introduce them to my fake girlfriend...you know the one who doesn't exists.
"Umm mom you see," I looked across the street and noticed a girl in dirty and torn clothes laying on a bench asleep but still shivering and somehow she still managed to look beautiful. "She's excited to meet you all," I said without thinking still looking at the girl.
"Awesome see you then," I said my goodbye and then sighed. I ran into the nearest coffee shop and paid for a hot chocolate then dashed across the street being careful not to get hit by the cars and set the cup down by the bench as she moved slightly. I quickly stood up and walked off but noticed that she sat up and looked at the cup funny before taking a sip letting a smile appear on her face.
Back to present day
Truthfully...I wouldn't change anything after thinking about it, the outcome would still be the same because even then I think I liked her and she was living on the streets at the time.
