Ashlyn's POV
Christmas morning wasn't really that great but then again my dad didn't even know I was coming...although we did have a nice big breakfast. I sighed now throwing my coat on along with my hat and gloves as my dad came down.
"Going somewhere," I nodded my head and smiled at him.
"Just for a little walk I'll be back soon," he nodded his head and pulled something out of his jeans pocket now handing it to me.
"I know it's not wrapped or anything but you should have a cell phone," I smiled as I realized he had given me the new iPhone.
"Thank you dad," I gave him a hug and then placed the phone in my pocket heading out. "I'll be back soon okay," he nodded his head and closed the door behind me as I walked away and then made it to the park now walking around looking at the trees and animals. The snow was falling slowly, normally it would be okay but it didn't melt once it hit the ground instead it just added to the piles of snow that was already on the ground covering up all the green grass and pavement. I sat down on a bench and leaned back taking in a deep breath; I couldn't believe how peaceful it was here. Since everyone was with there families and inside their houses nobody was really walking around the park. A coffee cup came down by my face and I slightly smiled taking it in between my hands and watched as Jak- Jacob walked around the bench and sat beside me, I took a sip of the hot chocolate and looked at him again.
"I'm sorry that I just freaked out and didn't really say anything to you before you left," I shrugged my shoulders and sighed.
"I wasn't really expecting you to say anything so don't worry about it you don't owe me an apology, it's more my fault then anything I should of told you my full name before going to your house and getting into all of this."
"No you had a right to keep it a secret...I would of done the same thing so you don't owe me an apology either." I nodded my head and took another sip of the hot chocolate.
"I'm living with my dad," I said, as I knew what he was thinking. "After I left your house I walked to his house and talked to him and figured everything out...turns out he actually was looking for me and he's also divorced my mother."
"I see...that's really great Ashlyn" I turned towards him placing my knee on the bench so I could really look at him.
"You seem upset for someone who just told me I didn't owe him an apology for lying," he shook his head as he looked at me again giving me a fake smile.
"No I'm fine," I laughed slightly.
"I know when people are lying to me Jacob so what's going on," he sighed and looked at me as I quickly took a sip of my hot chocolate.
"Well I kinda liked having you around...I wasn't alone anymore in the house it didn't feel so empty," I smiled at him as I held onto my hot chocolate cup.
"Well if you want I could stay, but I still want to be able to see my father."
"You would really come back with me and stay in my house just so I don't feel alone."
"Well I know what it's like to be alone and it's not fun but if you promise that somehow we can manage to still come to New Jersey to visit our parents then I'll live with you." He nodded his head and smiled at me.
"Deal," I smiled and drank the rest of my hot chocolate. "So you wanna come back to the Andrew's to have dinner or are you eating with your dad."
"Umm I don't know does your family really want me there," he nodded his head as he laughed slightly.
"Maya really misses you she loves her heels by the way," I laughed now. "And the photo album was a great gift no one's even done that for me before so it was definitely new."
