Chapter Fifteen: Busy day

Normal POV

Ashlyn walked toward Jake as he smiled and stood straight waiting for Ashlyn to reach him, she continued to walk and then stopped in front of him as she arched her eyebrows but continued to smile.

"So your little game was for," she asked dragging out the word for as he chuckled.

"I thought it could be fun and plus I needed someone to come with me to an art museum opening tonight...I thought it could be fun plus you get to dress up which might I say you look beautiful," Ashlyn smiled and blushed slightly as Jake smiled himself. 

"You know you don't look so bad yourself," Ashlyn said as he shrugged and Ashlyn giggled. "Don't do that...always take a complete especially one coming from a friend," Ashlyn said as she pointed at him. (pic of him in his tux!)

"Fine I'll take your word for it," she giggled and nodded her head as they got into the limo.

"So were going to a museum opening which is why you made all of these card and got me a pretty dress and an amazing necklace and shoes...plus then had me get my hair done and go to a spa."

"Yup...the spa was to get you relaxed in hopes that you won't scare the shit out of me tonight," Ashlyn giggled as Jake chuckled. "Anyways I thought you could use a day of surprises so hopefully you enjoyed the game," Ashlyn smiled and nodded her head. "So are you going to tell me which part was your favorite," Ashlyn arched her eyebrows and let a sigh escape her lips.

Ashlyn's POV

"I'll let you know eventually," I said as Jake chuckled softly and shook his head. The limo stopped and someone opened the door as Jake got out and buttoned up one of his buttons on his jacket. He extended his hand to me and helped me out of the car as I smiled...it was kinda like a movie premier with people taking pictures and everything. Jake held onto my hand all the way up the carpet until we were finally in the museum and he let go of my hand as a waiter passed him two glasses of champagne, which he then gave one to me. "Okay and now I'm confused...it's like a fancy party," I whispered to Jake as he chuckled.

"Something like that...it's different artists who display there work for people to see...it's like a big event for celebrities and different artists to see and look at," I nodded and then he linked his arm with mine I guess making sure I wouldn't get lost cause I knew even I would get lost in here. We walked around a bit as I took small sips of the champagne as I looked around at all the paintings and sculptures. Someone had actually taken plastic water bottles and glued them together then called it art...that I didn't understand. "Fascinating isn't it," I arched my eyebrows and looked at Jake as he smiled. 

"Are you serious...dude it's a bunch of water bottles glued together...even I can do that," I whispered as he laughed.

"I was kidding and this was actually made by a local schools kindergarten class."

"Oh," I said as he laughed. I hit him lightly as he continued to laugh. "That's not funny," he chuckled and then calmed down as he took another sip of his champagne and then continued to walk with me. "So anything in here by you," he smiled slightly and shrugged his shoulders. 

"A few...there in a different section of the museum though," I looked at him and smiled.

"Well let's keep going then," he laughed and we continued to walk through the museum as random flashes went off indicating that pictures were being taken of not only us but also everyone in the museum and even some of the art. 

Normal POV

"I am completely tired and need to sleep for like...eighteen years," Jake chuckled and looked at Ashlyn as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back on the seat.

"It's just cause you had a busy day...I had you running around all over the house and outside," Ashlyn giggled and opened her eyes to look at Jake.

"Don't worry...I loved the game it was fun...and the secret...was amazing," he smiled and nodded his head knowing what she was talking about as the limo finally came to a stop. Jake opened the door and helped Ashlyn out then headed towards the house.

"So what'd ya think of the museum," Ashlyn turned and looked at Joe as he smiled at her.

"It was fun...I didn't think it would be but it was," She giggled and walked inside the house as Jake sighed and locked up.

"Yeah I know normally they are boring but it was better stuff this year," the alarm beeped letting them know that it was set.

"So how's the pictures coming and all...I remember the other day you were kinda upset that they weren't working or you couldn't capture them as well anymore," he nodded and started walking up the stairs as Ashlyn followed. 

"Yeah...I'm still struggling kinda...I think I know the reason I'm just not a hundred percent sure that's all," Ashlyn nodded and continued up the stairs.

"You wanna tell me the reason or are you just going to leave me hanging."

"Just distracted...I have a lot on my mind plus then my job comes 24/7 so I'm rarely home...it's kinda exhausting," Ashlyn nodded and stopped at her bedroom door as Jake sighed and looked at her. "I don't mean to get you down or anything or put a buzz kill on this amazing evening but you asked so I answered," she giggled and shook her head as he chuckled.

"I asked so you didn't put a buzz kill on tonight so don't worry," he chuckled again and nodded his head. "Umm so I think I'm gonna go to bed now," he nodded his head but neither of them moved as they continued to stand there. He leaned in slowly as she looked into his eyes and took in a breath, she closed her eyes as soon as Jake's lips hit hers. His hands slid across her cheeks staying in the kiss as she placed her hands on his waste deepening the kiss. They backed up into the room as Ashlyn laid down on the bed with Jake on top of her as they stayed in the kiss, Jake pulled out of the kiss and slid his lips along her cheek to her neck where he kissed her softly. "You're going to change our status aren't you," she whispered as Jake looked at her.

"Yeah," he whispered before kissing her again as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back with as much passion as Jake was kissing her.
