We do a dress rehearsal with Blake playing Liam's part. When it gets to our kiss, he is very gentle and places a small peck on my lips. I feel something in my stomach but I ignore it.

There's a sadness weighing down on us, we thought maybe theater would cheer us up but Liam was a big part of this play and it feels like there's something important missing.

-Should we go to the café? It is Tuesday after all. - I ask looking at Jane for approval.

-Sure, why not. - Jane agrees and so it is decided. Nobody else could come so Jane, Blake and I go to the café just the three of us.

.

-Tell us more about yourself Blake, I bet you have a lot of amazing stories to tell. - Jane asks.

-Why don't you two tell me more about yourselves. I don't know that much about you. - I take my time trying to think of what would be interesting enough to tell someone with magical powers. Meanwhile Jane answers.

-I love cute dogs, I love the beach even though I've never been, I love cupcakes and eating the frosting first, I love making collages and I love my parents.

-That's a lot of love. What about what you don't like? - Blake asks intrigued.

-Oh uh, I don't know... I don't like people being rude and I hate spicy food.

-Okay, that's awesome. What about you Hannah, tell us about yourself. - I cough, still not knowing what to say.

-...when I was little, I went to the local pool. There were kids of all ages running around. There was this little kid screaming. I don't know why but I went up to her and asked what was wrong. She said the other kids were running and they weren't supposed to, they could hurt themselves. Even at that age I could tell that was very noble thought to have so I decided to help her out. We linked arms and made a barrier. We screamed and signaled for people to stop. When we got older, we started volunteering at the pool to help the life guards. And our friendship grew through the years. - I look at the both of them and I'm afraid the look on their faces is of disappointment. - It's not exactly just about me but that's all I could think of to tell.

-No, that was perfect. So that's how you and Jane met? - Blake asks. Jane and I nod. She hugs me from the side. - I'm really glad I met you. You both seem to be wonderful people. - I feel uncomfortable with the compliment so I diverge the attention from myself.

-Jane's the wonderful person, I just follow her around. - Jane makes an angry face and hits my arm.

-Don't! Just take the compliment. - Jane demands.

We keep eating our pastries and drinking our drinks and chatting about life. It feels nice, like maybe everything will be alright.

-I have to tell you something. - Blake says with a very serious tone catching our attention. - The reason I have powers is because I have a duty. - We look silently waiting for him to continue. - I'm about to become a keeper. I would be in charge of my own universe. All my siblings have. I'm the last one. This is what my mom wants for me.

-Is this what you want for you? - I ask out of curiosity.

-No... it is not...
