When he thought there was nothing left for him, she entered his life.
When she thought she was losing her sanity, he entered hers.
Felix is done with life when a beautiful brunett...
I look at myself in the mirror. I'm wearing a plain white t- shirt and skinny jeans. Summer texted me a few minutes ago that she's gonna meet us at the cafe directly.
Fran, Summer and me decided to take up on the offer that Isaac gave us. We did decide to have fun this year, didn't we?
Nity is sitting on my bed colouring something. I look at her and smile internally. We're so glad we were able to keep her away from all of that. She's just 9 years old.
"Hey Nity, Fran and I are gonna leave for a few when your babysitter gets here alright?" I tell her sitting down on my knees to match her height.
"Okay" she smiles and nods. Dad had already gotten contracts before we left Sacramento and mom is looking for a job at a nearby restaurant. She's a chef. And an amazing one. I hear the doorbell and hold out my hand for Nity to take so that we can go downstairs.
When I open the door, I see Aspen waiting patiently. When we were getting back from school earlier today, Fran and I were talking about how we can't leave Nity alone if we wanna go to Bluemoon and this girl overheard us. She said she needed a job desperately and seemed really kind so we asked her more about her just to make sure. She lives right across from us and goes to the same school as us as a freshman. She lives with her parents and is an alone child but has experience with children since her cousin sister used to live with her. We told her about Nity and when she should drop by.
"Hey there" I say moving aside so that she can enter.
Once she enters she looks at Nity and smiles bending down at her.
"Hey. Hey there Affinity. I'm Aspen. I'm gonna be watching you this evening" she says the first part to me and the rest to Nity. She also ruffles Nity's hair.
Fran comes out of the kitchen at the same time and waves at Aspen and kisses Nity's forehead.
"We'll be no longer than two hours. Tell Aspen to call us if you need anything" he says to her.
"Okay Aspen. All of our mobile numbers are stuck on the fridge and there's leftover lunch from today in the refrigerator if you guy get hungry" I tell Aspen.
"Bye guys" we wave.

We are sitting in a booth at the cafe they had invited us to and everyone is here except for Claire. Isaac said she's coming with Felix. I noticed they mention him a lot. Guess I'll be seeing him here.
"So Summer, which school did you go to before Hillcrest?" Jenny asks Summer who was sitiing beside me right now.
"I used to be in Skyline but that school is filled with major bullies, I swear" she says sipping onto her coffee. The coffee here is really good. No wonder they come here often.
"Yeah we know. We play them every year. These kids are constantly on steroids and no one does anything about it" Isaac adds on.
"So what kind of sports does our school play?" I ask in curiosity.
"We have a boys soccer team that's really good and a boys basketball team that's not so good" Jenny informs us.
"Didn't you guys used to have a girls lacrosse team as well? Oh not 'you' it's 'we' now I guess" Summer says and cracks a little smile at the end.
"Yes but the team got suspended in sophomore year because one of them was found dealing drugs. She was also the team captain. My sister was on that team" Isaac says.
"You have a sister?" Summer enquires.
"Yes. Step-sister actually. But it's been very long since our parents married each other. We were 8 years old. She's a year younger than us" he tells us. "Do you guys have any siblings?" he asks further.
"Yes. We have a sister. Her names's Affinity. She's nine years old" Fran tells him.
"And I have an older brother. He lives in New York. He's twenty-two" Summer explains.
We keep talking for another fifteen minutes when we hear the entrance door go 'ding' and I turn my head around to see Claire enter with - oh my god.
The guy who just entered with Claire is at least 6'3 if not taller. His body is well built and quite muscular. He has dark brown jet hair and winter grey eyes. He is wearing a white t-shirt with a leather jacket on and a pair of black jeans. His brown hair is messy like he just woke up and he is wearing a cold expression on his face. Colder than the one I have when I'm talking to therapists and I mean it when I say this, it's a lot coming from me.
He isn't paying attention to us, just following Claire. I realise I'm staring so I tilt my head a little to turn around but then something happens. Something that makes me unable to do so.
Our eyes meet.
