35- All Of Me

Isaac's POV

I am completing my history homework right now when the bell rings. I walk upto the main door and open it when I see Claire standing there. On a regular basis, I would've been the happiest person to see her here but she looks- angry?

"Where is that bitch?" she yells loudly and stomps inside my house looking everywhere. Who is she talking about?

"Bitch? Who are you looking for Claire? And will you calm down? Sit down and I'll bring you a glass of water" I say as hold her shoulders and bury them down for her to sit.

She gets up again angrily and says "don't tell me to calm down. Tell me where your sister is!"

"Chloe? She's upstairs. Will you tell me what's going on?" I ask her but before she can answer my question we both hear Chloe's voice from the stairs.

"Isaac? Claire? Why are you guys yelling so much? What's wrong?" she asks in a worried tone as she comes downstairs. Claire marchs angrily towards her.

"What's wrong?! You are asking me what's wrong? You backstabbing liar.  You've been pretending to be my friend all these days and then you went and seduced my boyfriend! Both of you freaking cheated on me!" Claire screams at Chloe and pushes her backward.

Chloe did what? And thank god mom and dad aren't home. I quickly run upto Claire and hold her waist from behind so she doesn't kill Chloe.

"Chloe? Did you sleep with Nathan?" I ask her in a serious tone. She instantly looks guilty.

"Yes. I did" she says and then Claire gets angrier, starts kicking her legs in the air as I pick her up with ease along with yelling at Chloe. Chloe then shrieks louder than Claire "stop!"

"I did sleep with him but it's not what you think. I didn't know he was cheating on you. Before he even came close to me I asked him about you and he said that he broke up with you. I asked him again before we slept together and he told me that I have nothing to worry about and that you guys broke up weeks ago! I am really sorry but I would never help someone cheat on their girlfriend. I really thought you guys had broken up" Chloe says and I can tell she's on the verge of tears.

"He told you that?" Claire says with a hurtful expression as she calms down. And it breaks my heart. 

Chloe nods apologetically. Tears start rolling down Claire's eyes and runs up the stairs. She probably went in my room. Before running after her I ask Chloe "are you okay?"

She wipes her tears and says "yeah. You go talk to her. And tell her I'm sorry once again"

I nod my head and sprint up. Claire is sitting on my bed with her face buried in her hands. She's sobbing continously. I walk upto her and sit down beside her. She realises I'm here and keeps her head on my chest and I wrap my arm around her shoulder. She looks up at me with those pretty eyes and says "I'm sorry I yelled at Chloe. I thought-" she starts saying but I interrupt her "don't worry about it. She said she's sorry too"

"I should've known right?" Claire starts asking with her eyes still wet.

"I mean given my luck with guys, I should've known this isn't gonna last" she says as I wipe her tears with my thumb softly. She then continues "am I that unlovable?" and starts crying again.

I hold her face in my hands and say "look at me"

"Eclair, look at me" I say and she looks up. She looks so pretty even when she's a mess.

"Claire Davis? And unlovable? You know that's impossible. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on. You are kind, you are generous and you care so much about the people around you. Where is that confident girl I've known since we were five? The one who wouldn't take shit from anyone. Let alone some guy who doesn't even know you hate cheese" I say as I look into her eyes and she laughs at my remark. Now, that's what I like to see.
