Dylan's POV (10 and a half months ago)
"So Lucas was asking me about the band today" Felix says to me. He's getting a little better. That's a step forward. But to take two steps back, Frank has been coming over a lot. I can't believe Melissa. If she does really like him then she should go over at his house. But no, his mom never being around would be worse than her having a boyfriend right two months after his dad died for Fel.
"What about it?" I ask.
"He wants to know if we wanna play drums for the band"
"Both of us for the drums?"
"Yaa. Do you think we should?"
"I would love it. Especially if it's both of us together dude. But are you sure you wanna do that?"
"I mean, someday I gotta move on right? Mom is clearly moving on"
"You know you don't have to force yourself to move on just because someone else is right?"
"I know that"
"Fel. There isn't a defined time that this process takes. Heck, for some people it happens overnight and for some it never does. Everyone's gotta take their own time to move on. And it definitely won't happen if you force yourself to do so"
He smiles at me and nods understandingly. I get a text and see it's from mom.
"Hey, I gotta run. Eat your dinner or I'm punching the hell outta you tomorrow" I say and close the door behind me. I still hear him chuckle though.
I open the main door after getting downstairs and crash into someone and we both fall down.
"I am so sorry" the person says and I look upto see that it's Frank.
"It's fine. Here" I say and extend my hand to give him his phone that had fallen down. But not before seeing that text. The text that I dont't know yet is gonna change my whole life.
Theodore: Melissa isn't suspicious yet, is she?

Felicity's POV (Present time)
I am getting ready right now to go over at Felix's. We are done with the second day of the bake sale where we sold double the desserts we did yesterday. And I made another peach cobbler and strawberry cheesecake for Felix. No, for his family.
I'm wearing a black button up dress and black vans to go with it. I leave my room and knock on Nity's door.
"Hey munchkin. You ready?" I ask as mom is brushing up her hair. She's coming with us because she wants to play with Sam. Mom and dad think that we are dropping her on the way and picking her up on the way back. We somehow convinced Affinity to not tell mom and dad that Felix is Sam's brother.
"Just a minute City" mom says and I slam the door loudly as soon as she starts speaking.
Yes, I'm still angry at mom and dad for the stunt they pulled up yesterday. I can't believe they literally just came by to see if I've told my friends anything. To see if they are the type I would share my secrets with. They are. All of them. But this secret is too big and complicated to tell. And plus, they promised me this wouldn't happen if I agreed to see Penelope. And I did.
I get downstairs and Fran is already waiting for us.
"You guys go ahead and wait in the car, I'll bring the desserts" I tell Fran.

"So, you nervous?" Fran asks me from my right. I take a right turn and follow the location that Felix sent me.
