"'Cause you're the only one, the only one
The only one I can love"
The Only One - Corbyn Besson

"Alright Corbs, I'll see you later." Zack tells me, leaving the room with all his equipment. After leaving the Carpenter's house, I met up with Zack so we could take some photos for my Instagram and do some photos for the upcoming tour. I pack up my guitar we used for the shoot and walk out of the studio.

I haven't heard anything from Lara yet. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. But I feel like I shouldn't worry; it's funny, I can hear her voice telling me I'm such a worrier and I can hear her tease me in the back of my mind. I just hope she's okay.

On my way to my car, I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. Excited, I quickly answer it without checking who called. "Hello?" Lara. Please be Lara.

"Hi Corbyn, this is Nate..." I hear the other voice say. Not exactly who I was expecting. I'd think he was also a little upset with me for not telling him anything about Lara since the rest of her family seems to be. "...I'm on the way to the hospital right now-"

"Wait what?" I didn't even realize he was talking this entire time. I get inside my car before the parking meter runs out again, trying my best to keep my phone under my ear. "Lara's in the hospital Corbyn." I hear him say. I feel my heart drop 50 feet.

"Well do you know why? What happened?" I start heading to the direction of the hospital in LA. I didn't even know she's home already. Why didn't she call me?

"Her car crashed, they found her unconscious. She's been in the hospital all night, they didn't find anything serious. I'm picking her up right now." I hear him say. I can't even think straight. I stop at the traffic light as anxiety kicks in.

"Okay I'll meet you there, I'm almost there." I say. As soon as the traffic light goes green I'm already half a mile down the street. "Corbyn wait, where are you?"

"I'm 10 minutes away, I'll meet you at the front by the-"

"She's in Nevada Corbyn. I'm already passed the state border." he tells me. I pull over by the sidewalk and sit back in my seat. "Okay well I'll meet you there." I say as I begin typing in the directions to Nevada.

"Corbyn no, you gotta listen to me here okay? I'll pick her up, just make sure you're there when we come back."

"Nate I gotta see her." I say, trying to convince him to let me come. I need to know she's okay. I don't care if I seem way too overprotective or if I'm worrying too much, I need to know she's alright.

"You worry too much Matthew."

"I just care okay? What's so wrong with that."

"Well why don't you just come with me if you're so worried."

I should've gone with her. Maybe if I went with her, we could've taken turns driving or I would've just drove the whole time. What if she crashed 'cause she didn't sleep enough and got too tired behind the wheel? I should've just gone with her and then-

"Corbyn!" Nate's voice startles me, taking me out of my thoughts. "She's going to be okay, I'll text you as soon as I see her." At this point, there's no reason for me to argue or say otherwise.

"Okay fine I'll stay here...Thanks for telling me though." I tell him. Thanking him's the least I could do. "Of course it's no problem. I know how much you care about her. I gotta go but I'll give you updates when I get there." he says before hanging up. I text Lara a couple times just in case she's awake and has her phone. No luck.
