The pitter patter of the rain against my window and the slight sunlight coming from the sun woke me up. I groggily opened my eyes. A new day.

I slowly got out of bed and walked out to the lounge. I was greeted by England waving (Y/n) off as she left. She held an umbrella and her bag filled with her other belongings.

"See you later (Y/n)! Sorry about last night." England waved.

"I-Its ok. Everyone has their ups and downs, I understand." She smiled, waving also. I saw her eyes flicker to me. "You too Alfred!"

"Uh, yeah. See ya" I replied. Awkwardly waving. I noticed she was wearing gloves, odd, she never seemed to wear those before. Perhaps it was to cover up the burns on her hands.

"England what's for breakfast?" I asked.

"I thought I'd make some scones or something." England replied.

"You know what. Forget I asked. Imma go get McDonald's instead." I said as I sleepily walked back to my room and got changed. I took an umbrella from where they live and get ready to go out into the rain.

"Do you want to take a car or something, America?" England asked from behind me.

"Nah, I'm just going for a walk. Maybe I'll be able to save some people with my hero skills." I joked. "Plus dude, all your cars are lame."

Then I walked out the door. Maybe I shouldn't have said that last thing about England's cars but they were pretty old fashioned.

I walked down the road and splashed into some puddles. Classic London weather, rain. This just proves why America is the better country, not that I didn't know that already.

I looked at all the different shops that were dotted along the side of the road and saw McDonalds, they didn't have a big line thankfully due to the weather so I quickly walked inside. I looked around at the few other people inside, most of them cold and soaked, much like me. I quickly ordered my food, the cashier was slightly confused and worried about me ordering 25 Big Macs but they let me do so anyway.

I waited at my seat and saw a woman with (h/l) (h/c) hair walk into the building. She quickly ordered and waited in another seat. She didn't seem to have noticed me and I didn't want her to notice me. For once in my life I just wanted to blend in with the crowd and not make a huge racket. The (h/c) head made eye contact with me. I could see her (e/c) eyes widen at the realisation. She waved at me and I awkwardly waved back. She glimpsed back at the cashier's and quickly got up. Shortly after she came back and sat down next to me.

"Hi Alfred, I didn't expect to see you here." (Y/n) said, she seemed to have shrugged off what happened last night thankfully. "Actually, nevermind. This seems like a place you'd hang out all the time."

"Haha, yeah. I never knew you liked McDonald's (Y/n)." I replied. "Plus I thought you were heading home."

"Mm, I was but I decided to stop in town to do some shopping and think to myself." (Y/n) sipped her drink, the only thing she ordered.

"It's quite a good day to go shopping if I do say so myself." I joked.

"What did you order, it seems to be taking a while."

"Oh you know, just a few dozen hamburgers."

"A few dozen! You've got to be joking." (Y/n) asked, her jaw almost dropped.

"Uh, number 911. Number 911 your order's ready." One of the cashier's shouted.

"Well, that's me." I said getting up and walking over to the cashier. I picked up my tray which looked pretty much like a mountain of burgers and placed it down on the table. "See, a couple dozen burgers."

"How are you going to eat all of that?" (Y/n) asked. I laughed.

"Like this." I replied while unboxing one and starting to eat it.

"I'm not sure that's a very smart idea. You could get sick."

"Nah, I'll be fine. You think this is my first time doing this?" I laughed again.

(Y/n) sat there while she slowly sipped at her drink and I speedily devoured my burgers.

"Um, Alfred. Have you ever been in the military?" (Y/n) asked. "Because while I've been thinking, I keep recalling you and some other people fighting in a war, somewhere, somehow. I... I don't know. I can't really get my head around it but, I know it happened."

"Uh, n-no. I don't think I've ever been in the m-military." I stuttered. Every single time I think maybe we'll just have a nice, good, carefree conversation. She always brings up something that could lead to her or me telling her about the bomb.

"Oh... I really thought that you had been." (Y/n) groaned and clutched at her head.

"Woah, are you ok dudette?" I asked.

"Y-yeah, this happens from time to time." (Y/n) shakily stood up. "I'm going to head to the bathroom for a bit."

"Uh, yeah you do that..."

I looked at my now empty boxes of burgers. Maybe if I can continue being a good friend of hers then when she finally finds out I bombed her country, she'll still be friends with me because of all the other things I did instead.

Ugh what am I thinking. That's not going to work.
