Most of my life, I have a love-hate relationship with the Autism label because people think in lacking traits for neurotypicals. My mother has always in high-functioning autism is differences instead lacking traits but too many people think the worse case. In the last 2 years, I have learned more to embrace the label because people will learn by figure out that I am not lacking traits at all. Differences are need but we forget that if Autism views are different between each person on the spectrum. We definitely remember that we need to ask how we view the label. The label explain the experience of the world in a world. So I am learning to embrace that label to explain to other people understand in a way. I am just started to explain people about how I view the world.

"I think a large part of my journey has been to accept myself the way I am and to stop trying desperately to "fit in", I am who I am, I am autistic and proud, I am different, and for the first time in my life, I am okay with that."-Eloise Stank
