Marina POV

I had been sitting on that cliff for far too long. My heart was broken, yes, but I would not so easily abandon the company. Thorin had threatened to kill me, yes, but that was only if he saw me. I am half elf, I can stalk quite well. I stood up and walked in the direction that Thorin and the Company had gone. I found a cave, but when I went inside, the floor was opened up like a trapdoor. I sighed. They had been caught by goblins. Figures. I left the cave and walked along the cliff for a good three hours. Those three hours were great to think over things. Thorin loved me, he had said so. The thought that a King loved me threw me for a loop. But I am a Half-Breed, he despises me now, I mean, why else would he threaten to kill me if he didn't despise me? The wind picked up and I pulled Kili's cloak tighter around myself. I heard a howl in the distance I froze. I heard a howl again, but much closer. I looked down and saw another path about 100 feet down. A huge white warg, and several others. I looked in disbelief at the white warg. A pale Orc sat on top of it.

Azog.

I was terrified. Thorin was in trouble! I started to run. There was no way I could keep up with the Orcs, but I tried. Eventually I lost sight of them in the fog. I came off the cliff a short while later and saw an orange glow down in the ravine on the edge of a cliff. I ran then, hearing wargs frightened howls. When I came into the clearing, still undetected by the Wargs and Orcs, I gasped. Thorin was on the ground, trying to reach for his sword. The rest of the company was in a tree hanging off the edge of the cliff. And Orc got off his Warg and strode toward Thorin. Azog smiled evilly as the Oec raised his sword to behead Thorin. I made a split second decision. I ran towards the Orc.

Thorin POV

The Orc raised his sword to kill me. This was it. My body is broken, I have no chance. I can't reach my sword. Marina. Oh how I wish I could take all those words back. I love that girl, and I threatened to kill her. I will never see her again. As the Orc raised his sword, I braced myself for the blow that never came. All I saw was a flash of black before the Orc was killed and the one person I thought I would never see stood up beside me. "I will kill you if you touch him." She said. Azog chuckled. "Kill her."

Marina POV

I looked down at Thorin. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. Azogs minions charged me, but then Kili, Fili and Dwalin came running in and attacked. I breathed a sigh of relief before Azog charged me. His warg sunk his fangs into my stomach, and I shrieked. The warg threw me. I hit a tree and fell limply to the ground. The wary approached me again, that was when I heard it. I distant screech before the eagles came sweeping in. I drug myself over to where Thorin was laying. I could tell that all of my ribs were broken, and that I could possibly be bleeding internally. I placed my hand on Thorins chest. "Please don't leave me. I-I Love you." Then I passed out.

Thorin POV

The last things I felt and heard was Marina placing her hand on my chest and her heart breaking whimper. "Please don't leave me. I-I Love you."
