Chapter 22 - The Warsong Clan

Kazuma's pov.

15 days after what happened to Dust.

Despite Aqua healing him multiple times, he still has a lot of injuries around his body.

Right now he always complains about his body aching everyday and how he's having a hard time standing up.

Of course Lynn nursed him day by day.

Right now I'm at the ritual ground Thrall prepared.

We're going to try and break the mind control on Cairne.

He's still inside the orb and 4 different shamans from the orcish rebels came to us.

One is an orc with a wolf robe, the other is a troll, then a Tauren and an ogre.

The Tauren looks similar to what I fought last time.

Then Aqua and Eris came.

Thrall said they could also help debuff the mind control since Aqua and Eris are goddesses.

Darkness and Iris accompanied me to make sure I have enough protection if the ritual goes wrong.

The troll came to the center, holding the orb that contains Cairne.

He then placed it on his staff and left it in the middle.

Then the tauren came, he scattered the incense around the ritual circle.

Then the ogre came, he began dancing around the circle.

Then the orc shaman, he held the staff and chanted something.

All of the shamans started chanting spells.

The two goddesses prepared to cast a spell onto the ritual circle.

Then Thrall struck the orb with a lightning.

Then the orb breaks releasing the large tauren.

The orc shaman completed his chanting and put both of his hands in the sky.

Then a lightning struck both of them.

Cairne falls to the ground lifeless after releasing a loud warcry.

While the orc shaman fell on his knees.

The other shamans all took a defensive post.

Thrall does the same thing.

I looked at both Iris and Darkness and the three of us draw our swords.

The two goddesses moved to our backs.

Cairne twitches a little bit which kinda scares us.

I pulled out the second sword that Dust gave to me.

Cairne suddenly moves.

Darkness stepped in front of me and I stepped in front of Iris.

Thrall stepped closer to him.

"Cairne, my friend."

"Long time no see Thrall."

"Well long time no see."

"How long was I under the control of that damned warlock?"

"About a few months."

"Damned him, how much damage did I caused to you, to my tribes? I must make sure everything is safe."

"Everything is fine Cairne, now what I need you to do is to return to your men, and become their leader again."

"I guess the taurens will need me, I'll be more willing to follow your command."
