Chapter 2 A Night For This Hero

Kazuma's POV

Me and Aqua were carried from the city gate into the adventurers guild.

As they opened their doors, I saw a one armed Mitsurugi, a lot of crimson demons and a lot of adventurers I saw from the capital before.

What the hell happened in the past 8 years.

"Dear Kazuma-san, since you were the hero of Belzerg, you can get free drinks and food here in adventurers guild of Axel."Luna said to me.

As Luna was speaking to me Aqua started a party on the tavern and the rest of Axel's adventurers went to drink with her.

As she was starting the party, Mitsurugi, Dust, Darkness and Eris pulled me at the corner of the guild.

"Hey what's going on guys ?"

"Kazuma, care to explain where you've been the passed 8 years."

"Didn't this other goddess told you already about that?"

"Kazuma-san, there are some secrets that we goddesses keep."

I explained to them how I was trapped in heaven because of the problems I caused by bringing Aqua, everytime a spoke something unquestionable, Eris would explain them on my behalf, after my explanation they all turned back and began whispering to one another.

Eris' pov
"Should we tell Kazuma-san?"

"It's best he should find out from us."

"But we may never knew what would be his next actions, obviously Kazuma is still shocked about the incident because he's only been here."

"Dustiness-sama is right, if we told Kazuma about him causing this incident because of him being missing he would kill himself knowing he caused this incident, why didn't Eris-sama told us anyway we could've avoided everything, I mean losing my arm is acceptable since I was an adventurer but causing a new demon king to sprout out wouldn't it be your mission to destroy the demon king?"

Oh crap, what should I do now, I mean as the goddess Eris I was sent here to investigate the new demon king and learn it's powers, if possible return back to heaven early but I didn't returned to heaven because I cared for many people of this world, then I couldn't share any information about Kazuma going to heaven and could return cause the other gods told me it would imbalance they're power and people might think Kazuma is a god.

"I really can't tell Mitsurugi-san, if I told you I might lose my powers and my rank as a goddess"

Crap hope they accept this.

"Alright it's acceptable then since all of us except Dustiness-sama have experienced dying and meeting a goddess, we could tell that their power balance is complicated, well I guess I am just glad Aqua-sama is fine."

Phew, I hope they never questioned this again.

"How do we plan on someday telling him? We also need to make sure he won't do anything."

"I guess we could tell him the new demon king caught Megumin and held her as a hostage, till we think Kazuma is ready we will tell him the truth."

Kazuma's POV.
I really hope they don't plan to prank me after I just came back, still I wondered what happened to Megumin before.

Just as I was still pondering Mitsurugi came to me.

"Satou Kazuma, I know that you love a mage from the Crimson demons named Megumin right ? Well, she's been fighting the Demon King Arkantos before and got caught with her friend Yunyun, right now they are still being held back at the Demon King's Castle."
