Konosuba Megumin the New Demon King

Prologue Part 1

Kazuma's Pov
I opened my eyes and saw a familiar room again, all I remembered is that I used a powerful spell against the Demon King before taking him out, I must have been inside it's range of effect.

I look around and saw a crying Aqua being comforted by Eris.

"Kazuma-san welcome back, I congratulate you on taking down the demon king but as you can see you have also perished I am deeply sorry about that." Eris-sama told me.

"I am really sorry Kazuma-san, if it weren't for me you might have not perished taking down the demon king and have sold a good future for yourself." Aqua said while crying a bucket.

I came to Aqua who was let go by Eris and hugged her.

"It's okay I've already known this might happen so I'm prepared for this" I told her trying to comfort her.

"So Eris-sama what are the choices for my soul."

"Originally there was 3 choices but since you are the hero who defeated the demon king the higher ups have decided to give you another 2 choices."

"Let me guess the first three are to reincarnate back in japan, reincarnate in this world or go to heaven."

"Yes the bonus 2 were to return back and resurrect in your last life and continue on from there, and the other one was to reincarnate in a life of your choosing."

"So Eris-sama my choice would be to resurrect back to my last life after taking down the demon king but I remembered that if I take down the demon I would be given a wish of my choosing."

"Yes since you're the one hero who took him down you will be given the extra choice for your soul as well as a wish."

I looked down into the crying goddess I am still hugging to comfort.

"I would like to go back to that world and bring Aqua with me and give her a way back here."

"Eh Kazuma-san!?"
Eris-sama said.

I was surprised by her reaction.

"Kazuma-san remember when I told you Aqua is needed back here, well if you wanted to bring her back to that world, you needed to stay here for awhile and wait for her."

"Sigh' guess it's my fault say can I help her in dealing with some souls going to the afterlife?"

"Ah yes Kazuma-san but you don't really want to change your wish?"

"No."

The crying Goddess stopped crying and look at me.

"What about Megumin I know your relationship with her Kazuma-san? If you are going stay here for awhile what would happened to her back in that world?"

"Sigh' I know that nothing will happen to her if I didn't return right now we need to fix our problem."

Meanwhile

Megumin's Pov
I just saw a beam light came from Kazuma's hand then both him and the demon king disappeared I think he teleported but I don't not know where somehow after they disappeared the rest of the minions of the demon king turned to dust and me, Darkness, the magic sword user and Yunyun were covered by their dust.

"What happened I just rushed to that menacing looking knight that were going to stab Yunyun but they turned to to dust!?" Darkness disappointedly spoke

"Hey where's Kazuma-san and Aqua-sama they were just here but a beam of light blinded me and they disappeared and also where's the demon king?" Yunyun asked

Wait Aqua is also missing !? She was just with me a second ago don't tell she went missing again !

We tried to look around but seems my explosion earlier weakened the structure of the castle and started to fall apart.

"Maybe we should retreat now if they disappeared out of nowhere they must've used teleportation and since most of the minions turned to dust I trust that Kazuma already defeated the Demon King."the sword guy told us.

We retreated outside and saw some high ranking minions of the demon king that weren't turned to dust get crushed by some structures of the castle with the only thing standing is the first three floors of the castle.
