An undeniable connection is something that you just can't ignore. And that type of connection can come from friends, family, or significant others. Sometimes that connection is so strong and so obvious that you can't help but wonder why it's there.

But you don't ignore it. That connection makes it so obvious that you belong with that other person, whatever they are to you. And those people can make you feel alive, even if you felt alive before, when you're with that person you feel like you've just been born again.

Sometimes if it's a romantic connection, these people don't even fall in love. It's just like they're suddenly there and together. Often times, you can feel so a connection to someone that you met days ago than someone that you met years ago.

And that's okay. All that matters is that the two people know that they're made for each other. And that they don't let go.

I awake to my phone buzzing in my next to me. As I open my eyes I realize I'm not in my room, but laying on my couch. I sit up and look to my right and see Jace laying there last asleep. He looks so peaceful, so beautiful just sleeping. The man needs to get more sleep. I bend down to grab my phone and tip-toe off to my bedroom so that I don't wake up the sleeping Jace Dyer.

I lean my door shut and answer my phone without even checking the caller ID, "Hello?"

"Ivy, what's up?" I instantly recognize the voice as my brother, Aidan's.

"Hey! Sorry, I never called you back, it's been a busy week."

"Don't worry about it."

I walk around my room, "So, you're coming back home in a few months? Why's that. Not that I'm not excited about seeing you, it's just you rarely ever come home. It's like you're stuck in Nevada."

Aidan laughs and takes a deep breath, "I have some big news. I haven't told mom yet, so I'm trusting you to keep this a secret."

"Aidan," I whisper so that in case Jace is awake he doesn't hear, "I'm an FBI agent. Of course, I can keep a secret."

"Hold on one second," Aidan calls out to someone, "Shana! Come here."

Shana is Aidan's girlfriend, they've been dating for six years. High school sweethearts. Since the day that they began dating I kind of had an idea that they'd be together for a long time. I really like Shana. She brought out a nice side of my brother, and she's incredibly sweet.

"Hey, Ivy!" I hear Shana say.

"Okay, so now that we're all here, I can tell you."

My idiot brother takes a long dramatic pause before he and Shana both scream out, "We're engaged!"

"Oh my gosh! That's amazing! Congratulations guys!"

"We're coming home to look for a wedding venue. We both want to get married in D.C."

We continue to talk for a while about their plans for the wedding and where they'd like to get married. Shana says that they want an elegant wedding and my brother says that they may move back to D.C. once they're married.

I'm really happy for my brother, and I'm ready to see him again. The last time I saw him was Christmas and that was over half a year ago. During our conversation I hear some stirring around from outside my bedroom and so I tell my brother I have to go, but that we can talk more later.

Once I hang up, I open my bedroom door and I see Jace sitting up on the couch checking his phone. I walk out and over to my Keurig. I pop in the little cups and make a cup of coffee for Jace and for me. He looks back at me as he hears me getting out the cream and milk.
