Monday II:A Short Visit

"It's been quite a while without seeing you Mon.........Ami" Sahil said smiling at the customer who had just entered his shop

"My friend it has been a while indeed" Sala responded smiling back. They shook hands.

"I hear you are a big thing nowadays hey I am proud" Sala complimented

"Yes, thanks to you brother" he said smiling "anyway how may I help you" he added

"Will you do me a favor" he said handing him a passport sized photo of a woman

"What do you want me to do and who is she?" he asked

"It's my mother, I want you to pass my greetings to her" said Sala

"Wait what isn't your mother dead" he said moving his eyes from the photo back to Sala who was already pointing a silenced P99 pistol at him

"Yes" he replied and pulled the trigger. It was a clean shot through the forehead and out the back of the head. "he who lives by the gun..................dies by the gun" Sala added, took his photo and left.

"Now that there is a mess" Gerald said looking at the burning motel

"One hell of a game changer" agreed Casey

"So, what now?" asked Fitz

"It's not over until it's over" said Johnny smiling

"Is this really the time" ridiculed Jessica

"Why not hear what I have to say first" said John and everyone nodded in agreement "the book was just a small component in a bigger box of evidence remember he used a gun to shoot these people so every gun has a number we just match the casing to the gun then we look for the owner" he added

"Makes a lot of sense" agreed Richard "even though when we hit a dead end with the gun its dead for sure" he added

"So, I guess this was just a family trip" Donovan said and everyone laughed.

The team got back into their cars and headed back to the station. When they got there, they each began looking for other clues aside from the bullet casings, maybe someone might come across something interesting. Everyone was at ease except for Johnny and Richard. Johnny was being hunted by memories of his dark past and as long as whoever is killing people is on the loose, he will find no rest. On the other hand, Richard could not help it but stick to his theory of there being one killer not more than that but he had to find evidence in order to prove his point. Richard had not been in the team for very long he had joined some years after the rest of the team so to some extent the team seemed to underestimate his capabilities but he was going to change that. The team seemed to be forgetting one of the most important rule of investigation, never overlook anything.

This is just too much Doctor Snchez  thought as she scanned Antoinett's body that lay on the table in front of her. She removed every bullet particle that were scattered within her disfigured face. By the look of things, she had been shot 8 times how brutal, this is unholy she thought as she covered the body and moved on to Ricardo's body. She was very reluctant to uncover Ricardo's body it was too disgusting and so messy even someone who had been in her field for ages would not enjoy studying it. As she uncovered the body Richard walked in

"Good morning Doctor" he said walking towards her

"Richard how are you doing today" she replied

"Great, would you mind giving me your time to look at something with me?" he asked

"Not at all, what do you have for me?" she replied politely

"Where is Carlton's body?" he asked

"over there"

Richard walked to the table where Carlton's body was and so did the doctor. He uncovered the body, to Sanchez this was the easiest body to look at in this murder the other two were a nightmare especially Ricardo but to Richard the sight of a dead body did not go well with him even though he had been a doctor before joining the force.

"Look here Doc" he said and she followed his finger with her eyes "when you see this bullet hole what do you think?" he asked

Well I think, I think and wish all killers would kill this way it makes my job easier she thought to herself before replying "Well umm I think he is a very good shot"

"Exactly look at the accuracy of his shot" agreed Richard

"So, what does it mean? he was in the military" said the doctor

"That can be a possibility but what I am trying to show you here is that the killer knew the place very well maybe too well because in order to get a shot that accurate you'd have to be a step ahead to prepare"

"Now you are not making any sense" the doctor said frankly

"It will soon listen, so we were failing to find anything but tell me something if the killer once worked at the motel it will mean they were part of Carlton's everyday life right" she nodded in agreement "what is this city famous for?" he asked

"Solving homicide cases" she replied

"Exactly then why risk it, this person is not connected to Carlton in any personal way and what type of people kill people for sadistic reasons?" he said smiling

"Serial killers"

"Exactly and what type of people kill many people in a short period of time?" he asked

"Spree killers" she replied "could it" her face brightened up "I partly agree with you but you have to convince me somehow" she added

"I will, worry not but for that I will need to borrow your blue light" he said

"Thats okay let me get it for you"

Immediately Donovan entered the morgue

"Hello you two" he said with a crocked smile

"Why are you smiling as if there is, ohww no no don't do that" she said trying very hard not to blush. She had never really been close to Richard but she admired him from afar. Her insecurities had kept her from dating any men, what if they found out what she was?

"Hey Don" Richard said

"Richy wasup, anyway we found a match to the casing it belongs to Sahil Shutosa" he cut to the chase

"The illegal arms dealer downtown" Richard asked

"Yes, and we are headed there tomorrow once we get a warrant" he said

"Okay I'll see you later Doc" Richard bid farewell to her

"What about your thing?" she said referring to the blue light

"I'll be back" he replied and went for the door with Don. Then when they were almost outside Don whispered

"You screwing the doctor aren't you"

"What"

"I heard you!!" yelled the doctor and Richard laughed
